It's not just that it was the best cartoon on Nick's channel, it beat all of the kids shows currently on television apparently.

Nickelodeon’s highly anticipated premiere of The Legend of Korra (Saturday, April 14, 11a.m. ET/PT), scored a strong 4.5 million total viewers, ranking as basic cable’s number-one kids’ show and top animated program for the week with total viewers.

A better question would be: Does any channel really have any action cartoons that are good nowadays? (Oh, Taochan already mentioned this, but still...)

And 4.5 million viewers? Awesome start for an awesome show. Just how it should be.

Young Justice is one I can think of, KingdomheartsII.

Anyways, Lanydx, you spelled Tenzin and Iroh wrong :c

You write it how it sounds, maybe? Ten-zin? I-roh...idk seems pretty easy to me. I mean, if you had tried spelling Hasook and got it wrong, it wouldn't be bad because everybody spelled his name wrong...but Tenzin and Iroh spell out the way they sound xD

Spelling is highly important in Avatar! Spell a name wrong and you are pretty much doing the new pronunciations of their names for the the next M. Night Shyamalan failure!

Fact of the matter is that there is a deficit of high quality action cartoons. TLA was excellent and left a good impression on everyone fortunate enough to see it. The high production values of TLK and the rabid fanbase of the Avatar universe will makes sure that this show will stay high on ratings.
