Amon is actually the daughter of Ty Lee. It quite obvious in his fighting style that's why he can take korra head on without bending

We haven't seen Amon fight at all. Only the Equalists. Their fighting style is definitely similar to Ty Lee's chi-blocking style, with a mix of the Kyoshi Warrior's style where they use the enemies power against them.

There are a ton of theories that the Equalists are some off-branch of the Kyoshi Warriors
