Yah, Ben Gibbard, and Jimmy Tamberello of Dntel, I believe I spelled it correctly. I like The Postal Service better than Death Cab, personally, but that's my opinion.
I can recall when I was in third grade I think it was and bubble toes was his first single, I fell in love with the music. I also remember when I got brushfire fairytales from my friends parents as a birthday present in 5th grade, that was a very memorable birthday for me, his musics always inspired me, both in the way I express myself and my attitude towards life. He's one of my idols, and I'm ashamed that I've never been able to see him in concert.

I've got one of his albums sitting around. I haven't listened to it yet, but I'll be sure to get right to it.

I loved Matt Costa in the Curious George soundtrack, I never knew that they had previously worked together before the soundtrack.

Yah, I also love Ben Harper's work. He and Jack Johnson work well together.

Jack Johnson seems incredibly chill.
And his music does relax you.

ew bro music.
people who surf shouldn't make music.
...josh?
Please, elaborate. Bro music? I'm not a bro, I like this music. Why shouldn't surfers make music? Jack Johnson has communicated emotions that people can connect to and his ideologies and other personal philosophy are reflected through as well, and what he's created is aesthetically pleasing. He's a fine artist.

He's a boring artist. Between him and Ben Harper I can't really decide which I have a harder time stomaching.
And yes, even if you're not a bro, he is, and he makes bro music for lacrosse players and surfers. That's the stereotype that he's fallen into, and it's not going away anytime soon. And that whole sort of 'chill' subgenre of folk is just...ew.

Oh diddly, The Trashmen. Uh, them and the Beach Boys and maybe Wavves are exempt from this rule. What??? What about Surfin' Bird///
