feels like homesick? destiny islandO.o

Well right now im currently playing kh2 for the 3rd time (last time i played was last year), while going through memory lane seeing how much i missed the game and the nostalgia feeling when i first received the very first KH game in 2002 and my very first console~ ps2 *sniff sniff* for christmas *cozy*. I know this might sound silly *rawr* but after playing KH2, i realised there was somthing that made me feel very homesick (not literallyXD)/nostalgia feeling where i wanted to revisit a certain place in kh2 but obvisouly cant:P~ and that would be "DESTINY ISLAND"! *Bing* (except the cut scene at the end~)

I know i knowwwwww what some of you guys are going to sayyy~ "want you just pop in KH and start all over again~" YEAH i know i could do that, but it dosent feel right FOR SOME REASON(WHYY! theres something wrong with meT~T)! While i was having my "paru time" in the bathroom*cough cough* there isnt much to do while im trying to clean my colon except just stare at the mirror (it REALLY weird having to see urself while ur in the "process.......:D") I decided to think WHY is it when i play kh2, i wish the older sora could run around in destiny island or better yet! see/meet his young version?

When im REALLY suucked into the game(kh2), i tend to think as if im in sora's shoes (well... video games dose have that kind of power in general) and while progressing through the story line, i always assume what sora's thinking about (THATS JUST ME....hahaha just leave me beXD). example is~ friends, family, carving/drawing inside the cave, riku, KAIRI (ohlala), and all the other things when he was 15 years old(kh1). Dose he miss it? yeah fo sho you can say that~ and i think the most accurate reason why i miss the feeling of being in destiny island(or maby just the whole general of kh1) while playing the second game is becuz i miss that part of my childhood life.(ew i sound old:p) i received my first copy when i was 11 years old (whoever got their game on that age should be my BFF :D)!

Two of my bestfriends and I use to went NUTS when we heard leon was going to be in the game. FF8 was the reason why our bonding was so strong becuz wed show off our profile everytime when we have a sleepover, while going googoos and gagas about how we had this burning wish to marry Rinoa *goodtimes*. Since all three of us had the copy of KH for christmas while i finally got my hands on a ps2, we totally replace FF8 for KH. All tree of us would take turn to play Kh( even though we had our own copies) and always reset KH just to listen and dance to utada hikaru XD. We were still kind of FOBs so we didnt really understand what to do in destiny island beside going around, stressing to find coconuts, and try to show riku whos boss! We were literally stuck in the island for an hour trying to firgure out how to get off the island and continue with the game until we found out one of us bought the guidebook (we were young and english wasnt really doing good for us at that time....so...HA!) we beat it, i cryed(secretly shhhhh><), and we demanded more *rawr*! 4 BLASTED years later, my dream have finally came true while one gave up on KH (we dont really keep in touch anymore) and the other passed away from a brain tumor (wish he could of played :I).

I was playing kh2 when i was around 15 and thought the first one was better. On 2007 age 16, i played kh2 again thinking how awsome it was that me and sora are the same ageXD (hahahajk). Now 2009 age 18, third time playing the game by myself (without the trios. . .) realised what a huge gap between the time i played kh1 till now (11~18) and looked around my room wondering how two of my old BFs are doing. puwah~ i know this sounds silly but it felt like i went on a long journey with sora between 1 and 2, missing ONE of the glory days of my life, even though it was basiclly 1 year for sora while for me it was like eight years....plus he was regaining his memory in the capsule=3=. Seeing the older version of sora saddens me a bit since hes, some what a grown up now without his big yellow shoes and looking all badass with his new outfit and his rainbow power suits XD!

It was pretty satisfying, seeing sora and the gangs return to destiny island (where it all started!!! ye~) at the end of the game AND seeing roxas, axel, and xion, having the same posture like sora, riku, and kairi~ chillin on the paopu fruit tree. When im sucked into KH2, while knowing the gap differnce between the time i played kh1, it gives me a homesick feeling~ wanting to go revisit destiny island on kh2, traveling around the island while playing the older version of sora so we both can imagine the awsome time i had with my old best friends and what he had with his friends^^!

SAY IT! "how lammmmeee~~" i know i know...hahaha its a long thread and to some might think this is pointless but i just wanted to get this off of my mind by just type it all down. IT FEELS GOOODDD!! puwahahhah^^ but if read up to this point ...man....its either ur freken BORED! or you just had urself a dose of AWSOMENESS!! Im sure everyone has a different opinion, thoughts, and what they miss about destiny island or any other world in KH, but this is how i feel so bleh and rawr~

(someone did told me AR or other modding has a way to put custome stages in kh2...ive seen videos

Anyway... I miss Destiny Islands too... In Kh1, there's this awesome glitch there when you revisit it at the end and you can just keep goin' up and up and up and up... Anyway, to see it in KH3 would be very nice. I wanna explore the town as Sora and see people point out the fact he hasn't been to school in what? Two or three years? XD

Oh yeah I miss Destiny Islands. I am really disapointed everytime one of the games includes cutsenes showing Destiny Islands, but doesn't let you explore it. I know Chain of Memories included the fake Destiny Islands, but that doesn't count. I'd love to explore all the Islands not just the play island, but the school island and the island with the homes and parents as well (both have been depicted in cutsenes at one point or another). Thankfully, it's looking like Destiny Islands, or at least the play island, may be explorable in Birth by Sleep. (see the latest trailer)

OH yeah for sure! see knowing that BBs is a prequal is going to be a bigger impact for me if were able to explore around destiny island becuz this is like....BEFORE where it all started! its going to be awsome becuz theres alot of things to uncover and im super excited when were able to get our hands on that game~

i didnt bother to read that whole entry but i did miss a lot of stuff that was in KH1 and not in KH2
1. of course DI (i loved it when you had to collect those things for Kairi)

Can't really miss much from the first game if you've never played it, so I'm not sure. I only played a fraction of the first game and I think the only thing I will miss is the complete hallow bastion

hahah yeah llike i said at the bottom~ it was long, but just wanted to get it out of my head by type it all down~ and im glad alot of you agrees that DI is the biggest part of our fav adventure in KH~

In KH2 FM you get dodge roll, Critical mode harder than kh1 could ever be with the new bosses and Cavern of Remembrance

I missed almost everything from the first game...

But few of the things I missed the most is:

- Platforming, trinities, puppies etc.
- Destiny Islands being playable
- KH1 Hollow Bastion, the castle, rising falls and everything.
- The Disney worlds felt more like it belonged to the main story line and not some side quests like in KH2.
- Dodge Roll
- Kairis KH1 design

And so much more.
