| Senbonzakura Kageyoshi | I decided to make a new thread for this fic because i have done a lot of editing on quite a few of the chaps. One or two remain unchanged with a few editing, but one or two have a lot. i have tried to make it a beter and longer fic so i really hope you guys enjoy it as much as the first one. So here goes.... The Forgotten Warrior When a man's heart is full of deceit it burns up, dies and a dark shadow falls over his soul. From the ashes of a once great man has risen a curse, a wrong that must be righted. We look to the skies for a vindicator, someone to strike fear into the black heart of the same man who created him. The battle between good and evil has begun. Against an army of shadows is reborn a Warrior, the purveyor of good, with a voice of silence, and a mission of justice... This is Nelo Angelo. Opening In the middle of an empty barren wasteland a structure once revered by mankind lay half crumbled. It was known by a few as the Ancient Coliseum. Atop the highest pillar sat, half crouched, a crimson cloaked figure. The cloak looked torn and withered and covered the lower part of his face. He wore a black leather, vest-like top, black leather trousers and black boots. His long, black, snake-like hair waved as the wind blew through the air. His bloodshot red eyes stared silently at the battleground. They showed anger as they glistened like a dancing fire. He just sat biding his time, waiting for something. The clouds of the night sky slowly churned to grey. The skies gave a grumble and a moan and then suddenly let out a roar. The heavens ripped open and rain poured out, lightning struck through the sky. Nelo Angelo sat silently; his eyes watched the ground like a hawk. But then, he budged from his seat, his eyes not wavering away from the battleground. He could sense it. It was something powerful, something fearful. He was coming. The ground rumbled and shook with terrible might and all of a sudden a dark beam burst through the ground. As it slowly dispersed a lone figure stood. It was a man. He wore a long, black torn cloak over his shoulders, strikingly similar to Nelo’s, but it covered his entire body. He had a muscular looking appearance with a malevolent look in his face. He had long black hair. Although it was tied in a ponytail like a samurai, still more hair flowed down his shoulders. In his right hand appeared a samurai sword with a beautiful, golden, intricately designed black sheath. He saw Nelo way up high and stood staring back at him. His eyes were red too but they gave an aura of terrible evil. He unsheathed his sword slowly and pointed it at the Crimson Warrior above. His cold face was motionless. "You’re here,” whispered Nelo. Without a second thought, Nelo jumped from atop the fifty foot pillar straight down towards the Black Warrior. A flash of blue light surrounded Nelo eerily as he sped towards the man. Suddenly seven blades burst through the light spinning around him rapidly. He charged at the warrior screaming with anger. But the warrior stood silently, his blade pointed at Nelo. They both collided with a mighty scream and the immense power generated a huge beam destroying the entire coliseum, leaving nothing in its path. -------------------------------- “RARRGHHHH!!” a voice screamed awake in anger. “Boss! Are you alright? Its okay, it’s okay. You’re safe. It was just another nightmare.” Chapter 1 A white creature, no taller than three feet, hovered next to a large branch of a tree. He wore a white radiant robe, which covered his whole body and his face, except his eyes which shone an unusual bright yellow. He wore a pointy, white hat on his head. All this signified he was a White Mage. “Boss? Come on its okay, it was only a dream. You’re safe,” reassured the mage. Its time to go anyway, you better get yourself ready.” He said in a high pitched voice. “Hmm…yes.” Nelo said in a deep voice as he got up from a hammock shaped branch on a huge tree. “Yeah we can’t stay here for too long, there are deadly fiends in this forest boss that appear in the dead of night. Ohhh…I sure hope we go unnoticed,” cowered the creature. “Yes, let’s go,” said Nelo as he jumped off up abruptly from the tree and wore his trademark crimson cloak back over his shoulders. Nelo Angelo was a medium stocked man. Although he looked young, his age was hard to determine. He himself did not know his age. He had pale face that, nearly always, showed no emotion. He was a master samurai who had a unique style. He wielded seven blades. What’s more was they were created with the power of alchemy that allowed him to summon them out of thin air. He never carried any with him for they appeared whenever he willed it. The blades were also unique in there own way, they each had their own abilities. How he got the blades was a complete mystery even to him. He travelled with an unusual companion, a white mage named Mogi, who was from the aptly named village, The Village of White Mages. He was a youngling of the tribe. He was indeed wise, but strangely was a cowardly mage. He usually floated at shoulder height next to Nelo and for some reason always addressed him as boss. Nelo walked slowly through the forest with Mogi floating beside him, who was looking around to make sure no one was there. They went over a small bridge that lay over a glistening brook. Nelo stepped towards the brook on the other side for a little drink. Suddenly he heard a rustle of leaves behind him. “Did you hear that? Ohhhh what is it boss?” whimpered Mogi. “Shh, quiet Mogi,” whispered Nelo. The rustling got louder and closer. Nelo got himself into his fighting stance and summoned his blade known as the Korefuji by his side. Mogi quickly flew behind his master, his yellows cowering at the bush in front of them. Then suddenly a rabbit hopped out and ran quickly into its hole. “Hmm, it was just a rabbit Mogi. No need to fear. Hey…What the…?” A wild looking man burst out from the bush tackling Nelo to the ground. Nelo quickly rolled out and got up unsheathing his blade. The man also had a samurai sword which he held unorthodoxly with one hand, the blade faced behind him rather than in front of him. His stance was unusual too for he crouched really low with one leg stretched out in front of him, while he sort of sat on the other. He had very short hair but tied it in a ponytail nevertheless. His face was mud-spattered; he wore a furry, dark yellow, torn vest and brown shorts. He was barefooted too. He charged at Nelo and tried to swipe the blade across his face, but Nelo dodged it by spinning behind him whilst giving a quick slash of the blade across the wild mans back. The man let out a roar and turned towards Nelo trying to head butt him. Nelo again dodged him by spinning over him and slashed him again across his back. The Crimson Warrior took a few steps back. The man let out another fierce howl and this time he charged with all his might straight at Nelo. Nelo stood and waited. Then at the last second he side stepped and slashed the man across his chest. The man fell to the floor but quickly recuperated and retaliated with a quick one-two slash. Nelo tried to block in time but was hit. His wrist was slashed and started to bleed slowly. He attacked back. The warriors exchanged blow after blow of steel neither man getting the upper hand. A roundhouse kick hit Nelo clean on his jaw, out of nowhere, dropping him to the floor. The wild man sheathed his sword and put his hands together. He muttered some words and clasped his hands. As he did so a high pitched whistle could be heard. The leaves started to spin slowly off of the ground in circles. The circle grew bigger and larger and the screeching got louder and higher. He had summoned a tornado and it was spinning madly towards Nelo. Nelo realised what had happened and without a second thought he summoned all his blades. A blue and silver light spun around him shielding him from the tornado. He braced himself mustering all his strength. The power of the tornado was weakening. The wild man ceased the tornado and again came running at Nelo, blade at the ready for his final attack. The Crimson Warrior now held two blades in his hands and waited. He gave a deadly cross slash at the wild man dropping him to the floor. The man slowly got up and turned to face Nelo. Nelo stared into his eyes. He sensed no evil. The blades disappeared and the Crimson Warrior held his hand out to help the man up. “I was wrong about you, the man said with a groan as he got up. You are quick and powerful warrior. Forgive me for attacking you.” ______________ well hope you thought it was good. Last edited by Nelo Angelo; 08/31/07 at 11:32 AM. |

I thought you were him but I can sense no evil in you. Forgive me.” “It is alright. My apologies for the wounds, you need help, Nelo said in concern. Mogi heal him.” Mogi’s yellow eyes shone brightly and a radiant sparkle covered the man. His wounds healed. “Thank you. Your style, I have never seen a man who wields seven blades. Who are you?” he asked. “My name is Nelo Angelo. I’m just a humble warrior trying to survive in this world. I call my style The Discipline of the Seven Swords. It has taken me years to master it.” “I see, nice to meet you Nelo Angelo.” Nelo bowed to him to show respect. “This…man you thought I was. Who do you refer to?” questioned Nelo. “You mean you don't not know of the rumours? Bijomaru has returned. He has been sited in a village in Jia Ting. It is said he has already killed a soul.” “Bijomaru?” Nelo had never heard the name before, but it made his blood run cold for some odd reason. “I do not know much about him, but I do know of the story, continued Nagara. He was once a powerful warrior, a highly skilled swordsman, but like all mighty men with power he lusted for only one thing, more power. He travelled the world destroying everything and everyone in his path without a care for anything. He was intent on being the best. No one could stop him. He had found many followers in his brutal art and raised his own army. His last goal was to kill the Emperor and take the throne as the new leader of this country. But it was never to be. After a decade of destruction he finally met his match. He was challenged by an unknown warrior, to the death. What exactly happened after that no one knows for he was never seen again. It is believed he met his maker that night, but the warrior who defeated him was never seen again also. The unknown man saved the world from his continuing onslaught but still to this day, ten whole years later, no one knows who he was or where he is now. My guess is they both died in that battle, but who knows eh?” Nelo stood there silent. He had this story before but never in its full detail. The name didn’t ring a bell but it resonated in his head, Bijomaru. “Yes, I know of the story,” said Nelo after a long silence. “I heard of it a long time ago.” “His army still live, continued Nagara, thanks to his general, who also is still alive, and they have grown in numbers. If the rumour is true, that he has returned, then I’m afraid the world shall suffer more chaos by his hands. We look to the heavens and pray for the man who defeated him to return, but alas no one knows who he was,” he sighed. Nelo stared silently towards the ground and then he spoke. “Nagara, can you help me look for someone. A wise man is said to live in this forest they call him the Grand Sage. He seeks me or rather I seek his help.” “You know of the Sage? There are not many who do. What do you mean he seeks you?” “It is a long story,” lied Nelo, he didn’t like talking about it to anyone. *** Nelo could not remember his past very clearly. He didn’t understand why. For nearly ten years now he had been living in the Village of White Mages under the watchful eye of the leader, Master Tenkai. He had tried all he could to unlock Nelo’s memories of his past but it was no use. Nelo kept having terrible nightmares where he killed innocent villages and decimated powerful warriors. They seemed so real to him but he awoke to find himself sweating and breathing heavily. But one day, not too long ago, he had had a dream of a white, valiant steed running through a forest. He was chasing it forever and it led him to a white tree. A voice called out his name, he said ‘you are needed oh mighty warrior. The day has finally come; you shall be forgotten no more.’ When he told Master Tenkai of this dream, he said it was a message. What it truly meant he did not know but he was surprised to hear about the steed. It was apparently the horse of the legendary Grand Sage. “He seeks you Nelo Angelo, I don’t know why but you must find him. He lives in the enchanted forest on the outskirts of the village. Go to him, he will help you I am sure of it.” With those words said, Nelo had headed out along with his friend Mogi, to seek the answers about his past. *** “I shall be glad to help my friend. As the guardian of this forest I know exactly where he lives for it was he who appointed me guardian. Come I shall take you to him,” said Nagara. They set of deep into the forest to look for the Grand Sage. He followed Nagara silently, pondering. He didn’t understand why the name Bijomaru meant something. If he had returned then it was clear he was going to take revenge on the world. He and his army would wreak havoc once more. Last edited by Nelo Angelo; 09/04/07 at 11:40 AM. |

| Senbonzakura Kageyoshi | oh alright that mabe why. i'll keep goin. heres the next chap. Chapter 3 After a long, silent walk deep into the maze like Enchanted Forest, Nagara spoke. “Well Nelo, here we are,” pointing to a gigantic White Tree straight in front of them. It had a dazzling, white, light shining from it and bright, silver leaves shone on its branches, with the morning dew glistening like stars on them. Nelo stood in awe at this magnificent beauty. Nagara walked towards the bark of the tree and tapped the centre three times. Nothing happened for a few seconds but then a creaking noise could be heard. The bark of the tree lit up and slowly there appeared an outline of a mystical looking door. The shape disappeared to reveal an entrance. “Go ahead Nelo; this is as far as I go. I hope to see you again my friend and I hope you find the answers you seek from the Sage.” Nagara then hastily ran through the forest leaving Nelo and Mogi to go in alone. *** “Wow boss, this place is amazing,” said Mogi as they walked down the marble staircase in the tree. “Look at the pretty lights on the walls, they’re moving.” “Those are fireflies Mogi. Come we have reached the bottom.” Nelo slowly entered through the archway at the bottom and found himself in a small room with many more fireflies fluttering around him. The walls were also made of marble and the floor was so polished it was like staring into a mirror. “Who goes there, this is no place for intruders, Leave now,” boomed a voice that echoed around the room. “What if I don’t want to leave?” said Nelo. “Bo-oos, I think we better listen to what he says, lets go,” whimpered Mogi in fear. “We’re not going anywhere.” “Very well, I shall test your might.” A young, bald, man, a few inches shorter than Nelo, emerged in front of him across the room. He wore a white, kung fu, shirt with the buttons open to reveal his ripped muscle body and he wore jet black trunks. He stood staring at Nelo. He pulled out two nunchukkas from behind him in each hand. They were a blue, metallic colour and had silver, short spikes on the end of them. “Show me your ability.” He spun the nunchukkas around his body at spectacular speed, taunting Nelo. Nelo just stood still. “Humph,” he snorted. “FUUENKAZEN!” he shouted and following a lightning strike a samurai sword appeared in his hands. It had a short handle with a thick rounded arm guard, and a thick curved blade. This blade was a great defensive sword and Nelo usually used it for counter attacks. The bald man ran at Nelo whilst swinging the nunchukkas swiftly around him and swung one at the Crimson Warrior. Nelo blocked with his blade while stepping back away from him. The man somersaulted over him and gave a smack across Nelo’s back. Nelo turned and went on the offensive but the man was quick as he dodged and feinted and again scored a hit across Nelo’s body. He again did some fancy moves and swung both nunchukkas at Nelo’s face; the Crimson Warrior blocked and gave a counter strike slashing the man on his arm. The man gave a little smile and followed by swinging his nunchukkas relentlessly. Nelo blocked every strike and quickly side stepped and gave him a slice across his back. The man turned and performed a backward somersault kick and hit Nelo clean in the face. Blood poured out his nose. “Boss, here,” shouted Mogi casting a cure spell on Nelo. Nelo quickly got up and did a rolling sword poke just missing the man by an inch. The man again attacked persistently spinning his nunchukkas with amazing speed. Nelo blocked and dodged, then countered a shot and gave a powerful swing knocking the man to the ground, his nunchukkas falling from his grasp. “Okay, stop, you’re good,” he panted. He got up and faced Nelo and then with a bow said, “Forgive me; I am Seraph, the loyal bodyguard of the Sage, What do you want?” “The Grand Sage, where is he? I was told he was looking for me,” said Nelo. “Yes he is. Please go trough that portal, he is waiting for you.” “Wait you knew I was coming yet you fought me?” “Hehe…I love a good fight.” A white portal appeared in front of Nelo and he stepped through with Mogi at his side. |
