Trazin, i'm gonna try to read your ff - but, unfortunately, it'll most likely be when i'm out of school before i get to read it. School makes my life so much more hectic! AGH! But i'll survive - i hope lol.
Ok, here's the next chappie! Hope you enjoy it! (i know the chappies are short right now - but you'll just have to get over it! Wow i'm so nice! lol)

Chapter 40

“Then Anna doesn’t have her heart, either…” Sora mumbled. Everything had suddenly got worse. Riku was fighting Maleficent alone somewhere, King Mickey, Donald, and Goofy were gone, Anna and Melanie didn’t have their hearts, and now the others outside that room and in the foyer would have to wait longer.

“We can try to get Anna out of her orb.” Kiari said, turning back around to the orb. She got out her keyblade and tried shooting light at it. The orb took the light and shot it back out as dark magic. It hit Kiari and she fell on the ground. “Kiari! Are you okay?” Sora ran over to her and knelt down beside her. She groaned, but she said she was fine. Sora helped her up and she rubbed her stomach, where the magic hit her. “Shadow, can you try to open it? You use dark magic, right?” Sora asked. Shadow didn’t answer. He slowly got up and took out his dagger. He held it out in front of him, and in a second it turned into his spear. He tapped the end of it and held it towards the orb. An electricity ball formed on the end, and it shot into the orb. However, the orb simply absorbed it.

“Why isn’t it working?! Why can’t we just give Melanie her heart back? Well, where are their hearts? They have to be somewhere, right?” Kiari suddenly asked. Sora thought about it for a moment. “Well, Maleficent said she was using their hearts to make a new world, so, maybe their hearts are in the world. Yea, if their hearts made the world, then the world contains their hearts. So if we destroy the world, we release the hearts. But, how do you destroy a world without destroying the hearts inside it?” Sora scratched his head. This was tough.

“Use the keyblade.” Sora looked around. He heard someone say something; it sounded like Namine. Suddenly, everything faded away. Sora blinked, and all he saw was white. “Use the keyblade to unlock the hearts.” Sora jerked around to see Namine standing behind him. “How do I do that, though? It’s a world, not a keyhole.” Namine stood still, with her hands behind her back. “Use Melanie’s and Anna’s keyblades. You’re the keyblade master; you can summon anyone’s keyblade. So summon their keyblades. Use the keyblades of the Princesses of Light and Darkness to unlock the world made with their hearts. Make sense?” Sora nodded.

“Good.” Namine smiled and started walking away. Sora didn’t really know what to do, so he just stood still. Suddenly, everything started to fade away. Namine, who was still walking away, slowly faded until she was gone. Sora blinked, and when he opened his eyes, he saw Kiari only inches away from his face.

“Sora! Wake up! Sora! You’re awake! Are you okay?” Sora felt teardrops fall on his face. He realized that they came from Kiari, who was crying. “It’s alright, Kiari. I’m fine.” Kiari suddenly hugged him before he could even get up. “What happened?” She asked. Sora smiled. “I’ll tell you if you let me get up.” Kiari smiled and let go of him. She stood up and waited for his explanation.

A minute later, Sora stood in front of the large window that looked out into space. Kiari, now understanding what he was going to do, stood behind him and beside Shadow. Shadow stood only a foot away from Melanie. Kiari was surprised at how protective he was of his sister, after having not seen her for such a long time.

Sora scratched his head. ‘How am I supposed to do this? Maybe is I just summon their keyblades like I summon mine.’ He thought to himself. He held out one hand, and closed his eyes. He thought of Anna’s keyblade, and he felt it’s handle forming in his hand. He thought about Melanie’s keyblade, and even though he’d never seen it, it somehow still worked. He opened his eyes to find Anna’s keyblade in his right hand, and what was apparently Melanie’s keyblade in his left hand. He looked it over for a second. It was mostly black, but it had some white on it. He decided what the keyblade looked like didn’t matter, and he took his eyes off the keyblade and brought them to the vast space only a few yards away from him. “I think that’s the first world. It must be pretty far away; it just looks like a big star from here.” Kiari said while she stood completely still.

Sora concentrated on the world for a quick moment. Then, in a matter of two seconds, Sora stood with the two keyblades pointing at a large keyhole that had appeared in front of him. Kiari watched with wide eyes, while Shadow still stood emotionless. After he had unlocked the keyhole, it vanished. He let the keyblades in his hands vanish, and he watched the distant world with anticipation. He saw the world start to glow, and then it stopped. Sora waited a few more seconds, but nothing else happened.

Chappie 41

“Was that it? Did it work?” Kiari walked up beside Sora and looked at the world. “I think it worked. Namine said -” Sora stopped when he saw a pink, glowing object float from the ceiling down to the orb Anna was in. Kiari and Sora waked over to the orb as the object, Anna’s heart, floated through the orb and joined back to Anna. However, Anna didn’t move. She stayed the same inside the orb; she didn’t wake up. “Melanie, are you okay?” Sora and Kiari turned around to see Shadow kneeling on the floor, propping his sister’s back up. “What are you doing?” Melanie asked as she realized she was leaning against Shadow’s arm. “Melanie, I’m, sorry. I never should’ve left you alone back at home. I never should’ve gone with that man. I never meant for you to get into any of this. I’m sorry about everything I’ve done. I’m not asking you to forgive me. You don’t have any reason to forgive me.” Shadow hung his head low.

Melanie stood up and smiled. “I’m glad I got into this, or we might not be having this conversation right now.” She held her hand out to him. He looked up at her with eyes full of shame. “I have a reason to forgive you. The reason is that I’m a forgiving person.” Shadow took her hand and stood up. Melanie kept smiling and hugged her brother. “I’m glad you’re back.” Shadow said as he hugged his little sister.

Kiari and Sora smiled. “Hey Melanie, now that you’re back, could you try to get Anna out?” Sora pointed to the orb behind him. “How did she get in an orb like that?” Melanie walked up to the orb and looked it over. “Maleficent put her in it. It’s made of dark magic. You were put in one made with light magic. Kiari used her keyblade to shoot light at your orb, and the orb broke. Kiari can’t break this one, and we’ve all tried.” Sora explained. “So I have to use my keyblade. It’s been a while since I’ve used this.” Melanie said as she got out her keyblade. She pointed it at the orb and shot a beam of dark magic at it. In a few seconds, the orb was gone, and Anna fell into Sora’s arms. Sora laid her down on the ground. Anna didn’t move. “Is she alright?” Sora asked no one in particular.

However, Sora’s question was answered before anyone could say anything. Anna slowly opened her eyes. “What just happened?” Anna asked as she sat up. “A lot just happened.” Kiari said as she helped Anna stand up. Anna started to ask another question as she was getting up, but she stopped when she saw Shadow standing not to far away. Her eyes widened and her pupils became small. She stared at him for a moment. Shadow said nothing, but only looked back at her. “It’s okay, Anna. He’s with us now.” Anna stopped staring at Shadow, but she eyes still had a hint of fear in them. Anna looked around; she saw Sora, Kiari, and Melanie standing beside her. She saw a large window that opened into space. She saw Shadow a few yards away. But she didn’t see Riku. “Where’s Riku?” Anna asked abruptly. Kairi looked at the ground and answered, “We don’t really know.”

Another wonderful chapter, I can't wait for the next one! I'm very excited that Anna woke up, because we haven't seen much of her lately! Well, I mean, we have SEEN her, but we haven't heard from her!

Chapter 42

“What do you mean, you ‘don’t know’? I thought he was with you.” Anna looked at Kiari. “Well, he was. We came in here to fight Maleficent and get you and Melanie, but when Riku went for Maleficent, they both got swallowed by a portal.” Sora explained. Anna sighed quietly. “What else happened?”

Sora took a deep breath and started telling Anna about everything that happened after she was knocked out when she opened the portal. Kiari then told Anna what happened to her and Riku.

“So what are we supposed to do now?” Anna looked at Sora, waiting for an answer. “Uh, I don’t really know. Well, we should probably go tell the others what’s going on.” Shadow looked up from staring at the floor. “I’ll go. I know my way around this castle better than you all do. I know where they are; I’ll be back when I’m done.” Shadow turned around and walked out the doors and down the hall.

Sora, Kiari, Melanie, and Anna stood in silence for a moment. Suddenly, Anna’s eyes widened. “What is it?” Melanie asked. “If that world you guys just got our hearts out of, if that world was already made…” Anna seemed hesitant to finish. She finally managed to get all of it out. “…Then that means that Kingdom Hearts is already infected with our light and darkness. So, Maleficent already has control over Kingdom Hearts.”

Sora’s eyes widened now, too. He hadn’t thought about that before. Kiari didn’t understand how bad it actually was for Maleficent to rule over Kingdom Hearts, so she wasn’t in the state of slight panic that Sora and Anna were. Melanie didn’t quite get it either. “I know that’s bad, but how bad is it?” Kiari asked, afraid of what the answer would be. “It’s really bad. Really, really bad. I don’t really understand what she could do with Kingdom Hearts, but I know it can’t be good.” Anna replied.

“How can we take her control off of Kingdom Hearts?” Melanie asked, calm as ever. “If my light and your darkness are what she used to gain control over it, then maybe if we can release the light and darkness, then maybe Kingdom Hearts will be free again.” Anna suggested. “Sounds like it would work. But how would you release light and darkness from it?” Sora thought hard to try to answer the question he had just asked. “If light and darkness are the opposite of each other, then if you use light against darkness, and the other way around, it might force them out.” Kiari mentioned. “Sounds good to me. Let’s go before Maleficent has a chance to do anything with Kingdom Hearts.” Anna said as she walked towards the doors.

“Where are you going?” Sora asked, “The last place I saw the actual Kingdom Hearts. I’m going to The World that Never Was.”
