Rep Power: 1 ![]() Level: EXP: | Just read it for school. It has great imagery and symbolism, but over all the book is dry. What do you think? |

| superb moderator | your dry i kind of had to speed read it this week in order to finish it by the deadline, but it was pretty good. wilde does a good job of creating a character who slowly sinks into evil and at the same time allows the reader to sympathize with him. the love triangle, if you will, between basil, henry, and dorian is pretty crazy too. henryxdorian 4lyfe |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() Level: EXP: | My favorite part was when he died, I could barely stay awake to read it, and I tink I failed most of those quizzes. Oh well, I did not like it, it was very dry, like cardboard. |

I don't know why I haven't picked this book up. I need to find a bookstore of some sort.

Maybe you guys should read something with simpler dialogue which is more suited to your level, say, Captain Underpants? I hear they're pretty funny if you've only got half a brain to work with (Or if you're in third grade). Seriously, if you find books like this dry you'll never fully appreciate other great works that have similar style of writing. So far I find the dialogue more than engaging, and the writing, descriptions, imagery and diction are sublime.

| Keyblade Wielder | There's nothing wrong with CU, when read by people of the age for which it was intended; however you'd have to be an idiot to read this if you're past middle school, so I used it to make a point, after all, the people I was adressing are 15 and 19 years old, according to their profiles |
