This book made me so incredibly vexed.

I was frustrated at the complete inanity of 'trials' and appalled at the complete lack of SENSE in the community; they were so accusatory and so quick to abrogate the rights of others with so little evidence. And then irked even more by the ulterior motives exercised by the Putnam's in efforts to gain land. And then completely exasperated when hard evidence presented by Corey and Nurse was blatantly ignored.

I freaking loved John and Elizabeth Proctor though. Giles Corey as well. [Basically, I loved any character with a spark of common sense and virtue.]
