Rep Power: 4 ![]() Level: 16 EXP: | Oh my God. This book is terrible. There's no action in it whatsoever and it's making me believe that it has no point or purpose. Apparently, it is a classic novel so my class has to write a research paper on it. But I can't even make myself read it. I fall asleep everytime I open the book. Your thoughts on the book? |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() Level: 15 EXP: | I thought it was pretty good. Nick (or whatever the main character's name is I forgot it ) is gay by the way. The book never comes out and tells you, but my teacher showed my class a paragraph that almost cofirms it. |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() Level: 11 EXP: | I really liked it actually. But I like Fitzgerald in general though, so whatever. It portrayed the materialism and superficiality of the age; how nothing truly had any substance beneath the riches. The most interesting part of the book is the way the characters interact with each other and analyzing their relationships. Plus, there are a few unexpected plot twists as you approach the end. It was really depressing though. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() Level: 16 EXP: | Exactly my opinion. It kinda jumps from place to place because Nick is such a follower that he just does whatever he's told and goes where ever, with who ever. |
