I've read a few of his, I really like his style, he's real fast paced and I love how short his chapters are so that I can stop when I feel ready to stop. I've read Velocity, The Husband, Whispers. And my favorite is Watchers. I think D; not sure. That's about all I've read from him. I like him.

Some of his work is pretty bad, but there are a few things that I've read that were worthwhile. Watchers and Lightning were both excellent, and The Taking started out really well, even if it degrades to mediocre by the end.

A lot of people say he's a Stephen King ripoff, but I prefer him to King. Have you read The Face or Midnight? Those are two of my favourite books by him.

If you're looking for something of his to read, I'd suggest either Watchers or Lightning.

The Taking is also excellent, the eerie atmosphere it generates, especially in the first third or so, is very well done. I was actually a bit unsettled while reading it, which is uncommon for me.

The first one was pretty good, although the ending kind of ruined it for me. The second and third were really mediocre, I didn't really enjoy them.

I loved them all. The ending of this first one did kind of suck though. It surprised me.

I Liked Phantoms, Twilight Eyes, and By the Light of the Moon. I've read a few other books by him, and they've been decent. Latley they've all been about dogs since his died.

Dean Koontz is like Stephen King but with none of King's charms or qualities.
