I've got Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman. That's a good an author as any to pick up from.

This is a good plan, I think this was my favorite of his. 'Murder Mysteries' is the only really good one I know the name of, but I only think that there were one or two I found only mediocre. Whichever the one about the filmmaker and the old janitor was was also excellent.

Right now I'm on Orson Scott Card's Xenocide. This series gets better every time I read it, I can't wait until I get to Children of the Mind again.

I'm currently a little more than a third of the way through the second volume in Tad Williams' Otherland, and I have to say, it's quite enjoyable, especially for science fiction, which I almost never pick up.
