Alright, here is the deal. I had an idea to write a Heroes fanfiction. I love Heroes the television show, and I love all things of its nature. But I also wanted to do an RP sort of thing, with other peoples characters. So here's what I came up with.

On this thread, post a character, following the following template. You must use this template, and try to be pretty detailed. If you check the RP section, then that can serve as a pretty good reference for this. Submit a character, and when I write the fanfiction, I will utilize all of your Original Characters as you wrote them, in my fanfic. I thought it would be a cool idea

Hmm, so basically, you want us to come up with different characters for a superhero fic that follows the style of Heroes. Well, normally, I'm against the idea of having other people do the work for you; but since you are the one doing the writing, and that a collaboration between people is quite common in media projects, I can tell that you aren't just trying to get out of coming up with characters, lol. It's interesting, and I'll be happy to post a character idea. Here's something spur-of-the-moment. I may edit this if I come up with more details later. This history is probably a little corny, but it almost has to be for a superhero, lol.

Name (Hero Name, if needed): Stroma Vermilion (The Alter)

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Appearance: Likes wearing anything fashionable. Whether it be baggy clothes for casual use, or the latest designer suit for the fancier occasions, he's always up to date on the latest trends. His onyx black hair is slicked back, except for his bangs, which are spiked back. He is clean-shaven, always trying to look his best. He is Caucasian and has Complete Heterochromia (his left eye is hazel, and his right eye is blue). He doesn't have a muscular physique, but he isn't scrawny either, just your average, tall build.

Personality: Brash, hot-headed, and not easy to get along with; but incredibly intelligent (although he doesn't like to show it). Uses slang and other colloquialisms in order to keep with the times. He's a bit claustrophobic, and prefers being outside, or in places where there are few people. He is very friendly to those who are able to build a relationship with him, and his loyalty knows no boundaries.

Occupation: Freelance journalist for "Modern Media" magazine.

Ability: Has the ability to morph whatever he touches into something else. In all likelyhood, he must follow the rules of Alchemy, with the exception being that he does not need a symbol like the alchemists of old. However, he must have a clear picture in his mind, if he has any doubt or hesitation at all, it could cause serious tragedy. Those who are aware of his power believe that, if controlled correctly, he could be able to manipulate objects down the the subatomic level.

Location: Hollywood, Nevada

History: He lived at an orphanage in Maine between the ages of five to fifteen. He didn't remember anything that occurred before that time, not even his parents, or where he was born. As a result, he began isolating himself from the rest of the kids. One day, when the rest of the kids were out playing Baseball, he was sitting below the window in his room. Suddenly, the ball flew threw the glass, and the pieces began tumbling towards him. As they fell, all he could do was think of something nice and safe, like water. When he opened his eyes, there was no glass and he had no wounds, the only thing on the ground around him was a puddle of water. Since then, he slowly began testing it through the years, until he had it down perfectly.

Then, at fifteen, he was sent out into the world, and survived by doing odd jobs around town. One of the people he met, Jonathan Brumack, showed him the wonders of media and fashion. After a year, he and Jonathan moved to Hollywood to be closer to the scene. Unfortunately, one day, while they were getting some drinks from a local convenience store, a desperate man with a gun came in and held up the store owner. Despite Stroma's constant warnings, Jonathan made a dash for the door, but the man panicked, turned, and shot Jonathan in the head. The thug fled the scene, and Jonathan was left dead on the floor. For the next week, Stroma lied in bed in his apartment, thinking that if he had just been faster, then maybe he could have done something; if he had just made an stronger effort, then maybe his friend wouldn't have had to die. From that day on, he made it his mission to stop the loss of peoples' lives whenever he could, with a power he didn't know why he had. He became the hero that could change anything into anything. He became The Alter.

I want to join or do something too but I have a question: Does it involve alot of the TV show as well...and do you need a really experienced RPG...because I want to an RPG soon and I love Heroes but yeah....just wondering for now. If you can get back to me, that'd be great.

You don't need to be able to RPG well. It will involve basic elements from the TV Show- ie. the Company, Chandra Suresh's book, the helix, and perhaps Isaac Mendez's paintings. Main characters may make a few cameos, but otherwise, it'll be all you guys.

Haha, yeah, I imagine that some people might think that I just want to get out of making characters. However, to be honest, I just wanted to build a story like in the Heroes TV show, which I figured would be easier if I wasn't inventing the characters. Also, I tend to make very similar characters. I wanted to get some diversity, which is why I decided to do this. Everyone will get credit for their character when I end up writing it.

Age:19

Gender: Female

Appearance:Medium height, honey hair (usually back in a ponytail) blue green eyes, mixed hispanic heritage, lighter skin (and dissapointed about it). Not a body builder, but not stick thin either. She feels she is a few pounds over weight, but also knows if she loses too much, she won't look right at all. Normally dresses in jeans and a nice t-shirt. Usually doesn't wear makeup and has a few pimples. But not too worried about that.

Personality: She is very nice, and people can take advantage of it. But she will not do anything illegal if someone asked her. She tries to be friendly, but has few friends. She is very proud of her heritage, but knows only a little. She is a day dreamer, and a little oblivious to some social situations, but if something happens she will be right there to comfort and to defend. She is also very curious. She gets good grades in school. She loves to watch movies and often bursts into song. She enjoys to travel (both by wings and by car) because she connects it too good times traveling with her family. She wants to DO something with her life.

Occupation: summer job at a fast food joint. Otherwise in college several hours away from the family.
Ability: she has wings. (Alleta means winged one. I like my names to have meaning) However, she can withdraw her wings into her back so no one knows. She likes to stretch them out to fly. She usually flies at twilight because she likes the sunset. They are large and muscular with white feathers.

Location: Lives in a small colorado town, but goes to school at Boston College

History: Grew up in a loving family until she was 18 when she went to college. bullied in grade school so she went to a different high school than the rest of her classmates. Is Catholic and has several brothers and sisters. She didn't like her highschool, so chose a college in a big city way out of state. She joined the school newspaper in her first week as a freshman, and as a junior is the editor of the news section. However since there are so few writers, she writes at least one article every week anyway. She is an econ major looking to get a job as a prosector once she leaves college. She discovered her ability when she was 13 when she wanted to get away from everything for a while and her wings appeared. Her family knows, but no one else.

Can I add/clarify a little bit. She is a practicing and devout Catholic, but not fanatical. In other words, she goes to mass every Sunday and the holy days of obligation, but not every day. She follows the rules of the Church, and respects ALL life. She will never kill. In keeping with the Rules she does not swear or sleep around (besides respect for marriage which is a big part of that, her back has two incision like slits where her wings come out of. But even if she told a boyfriend about her wings she still wouldn't sleep with him.) and doesn't drink or smoke.

I'm sorry, I was thinking about her some more, so I wanted to clarify.

Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance: Tatered cloths. Punk like. Wears black all the time. long thick hair. The hair is down to his chin. Hangs out in allys or in his freinds house. Blue eyes filled with hate and that only changes around his freind Alysa. Only comes out when the sun is covered by clouds or when the sun makes the buildings or surrondings cast shadows.
Personality: Quit almost all the time. But when he does talk he is a smart wise crack and very Intelegent and crafty
Occupation: Buming around like nobodies buisness
Ability: (if any) Manipulates shadows.
Location: (City, country) New York city
History: (If you have a power, include how you discovered it, or if you haven't discovered it yet o.0 ) He discovered it as a little boy after his mom abandoned him, after she was chased and captured by a gang. He was sitting in an ally when some hobo guy saw him crying and when the hobo got near him the guy stepped in admuses' shadow and Admus looked at him with fear and the shadows became like tenticles and threw the man into the street. He learned to control this ever scince then. He can form anything with the shadows (think of it as shadow bending. Kinda like in avatar were they bend elements)

Go for it. This is also just a note that I am going on a two week spiritual retreat to France, so if I seem inactive, its because I'm in a monastery without internet access When I get back, I'll see how many people we have, and then I'll start the writing.
