Whirlwind Lances

First off, this is my first KH fanfiction, so please dont flame me if it's terrible. Also, this is only the first chapter, i'll add a new chapter every day. When i'm done with this story, i'll make one for every member of the organization.

Chapter 1:Jealousy, Hatred, Revenge

The halls and corridors of Castle Oblivion winded on forever. They were empty. They were lonely. And this was the way Xaldin liked it. If only they were his.

Jealousy was a weak link in Xaldin's chain. He just had the hardest time comprehending why a creep like Marluxia was put in charge of such a wonderful masterpiece as Castle Oblivion. But for now, he would have to be patient serving under Marluxia, as a lackey.

Xaldin wandered around for what seemed forever, until he heard a voice coming from around the corner.

"Still reminiscing, huh?" It was Larxene. She turned the bend, and stared him in the face, smiling. "Why ya lookin' so glum, Dilan?" she taunted.

"I've told you time and again, don't ever call me that! That part of me is dead!" he yelled, anger rising ever more.

"Geez, sorry you big baby, didn't mean ta make ya cry... anyway, big boss-man Xemnas says we gotta report as soon as possible, due to some 'intruders'. Rumor has it, one of 'em already got Vexen, Lexaeus, and Zexion."

He gasped in shock, not truly believing her at first. Those three had been there for him since before the beginning, they were as close to "friends" as he had had. And they were now gone.

"Eh, no biggie, they were never any fun anyway. I say good riddance, i'm glad they died."

A lance flew at her with inhuman speed, and she barely dodged. "What the hell was that?" she yelled. But it was too late.

Xaldin had summoned all six of his lances, and a tornado was forming at his base. He rose into the air, weapons spinning, and shot towards Larxene full force. She was quick, and warped behind him, shooting Thundaga at his back. This, too, was ineffective towards the rage-inspired Xaldin.

"Sorry Dilan, but I don't have time for this. If i'm not back soon, Xemnas'll be really mad. I'd advise you to come, too." She disappeared, leaving Xaldin tired and broken. He yelled, pounding the floor with his fists.

After a few moments of collecting himself, he stood, opened a portal, and advanced to the organization's base, revenge towards this "intruder" raging inside him.

I liked it. You do a rather good job when it comes to your style of writing. I had some trouble reading it when it came to punctuation and etc, but other than then that, it flowed nicely, and you portrayed the characters well. Cool job, for a first chapter...

This chapter gets a 7 out of 10.

Yes, same here with punctuation but I love it. I'm not a Xaldin or Larxene fan but I do enjoy the story and enjoy the fact Larxene called Xaldin-Dilan, it's about sometime, somebody got that joke.

thnx, i will. i already finished the story, and it's seven chapters long. but when i'm done, im thinking of writing a secret chapter, dealing with Dilan...

yeah, the thread name (as well as the name of the story) will always be similar to the member's nickname (e.g. the next one im making, about Demyx, will be called Nocturnal Melodies)

i thought i'd add chapter 2, for those of you that wanna read it:

Chapter 2: The Meeting

In silence, Xaldin waited for the remaining members of Organization XIII to arrive. One by one, they appeared and sat at their seats, which were risen or lowered depending on their stats.

Their leader Xemnas commenced the meeting. "As most of you may know, there are some unwelcome guests wandering around Castle Oblivion," he announced in a resolute tone.

Xaldin already knew this. He was more curious as to why two other members, aside from his three former colleagues, were absent. Obviously another member, Axel, was wondering the same.

"Uh, sorry to interrupt, but I was sorta wonderin' why Larxene and Marluxia are tardy," he asked.

"Unfortunately, 12 has recently become a casualty," Xemnas stated, with no sympathy whatsoever.

Xaldin smiled grimly. That little witch was finally gone. She must have gotten pre-occupied along the way and lost her life.

"As for 11," Xemnas went on, "he is currently in the midst of battle with the intruder."

Xaldin knew that Larxene was just as powerful as Marluxia, therefore he would die as well.

After a tedious briefing of each of their duties, they all vanished to perform them. All except for Xaldin. He had been put in charge of some castle far away, but he had other plans.

Should he try to stop this intruder? He deeply longed to avenge his comrades, but he was smarter than that. He knew he'd end up like the others; after all, this person had already put an end to almost half the Organization.

No, he'd wait, because now he had the perfect plan. He knew that Xemnas would soon use the Organization's secret weapon: Namine.

End of Chapter 2; Next Chapter: Death to Petals

Chapter 3: Death to Petals

Xaldin approached the oversized, Roman-style doors, where inside the intruder and Marluxia fought. He sat outside, for once the battle was over he could fight the weakened foe.

Hours passed and the war was still ongoing, until finally there was a loud crash at the doors. Then all was silent.

He peeked inside. As expected, he saw Marluxia gasping for breath at his feet, as he started to disappear.

"Xaldin!" he choked, "please... help me..." It was clear that Marluxia wanted him to hunt down his killer. Indeed he would, but he didn't wanted to give that much satisfaction to the one who stole his throne. Xaldin lifted his foot, and with one swift strike, stomped out the last of the former XI.

He advanced and found a giant circular chamber, with a boy floating in the middle. "This is him?" Xaldin whispered. "This is the one who killed five Organization members?"

Suddenly with a flash of light, the glass orb vanished, along with two other mid-sized orbs. Namine was standing behind it. She had been muttering something, likely a charm to transport the boy.

"What happened!?" Xaldin yelled, startling the girl. She turned to face him. "I asked you a question!" he yelled, anger rising ever more.

She cocked her head, giggled, then vanished. It was the second time in just a few short hours that a woman had left him tired and broken.

End of Chapter 3; Next Chapter: One Year Later

i've been absent for a few days, so here are chapters 4 and 5:

Chapter 4: One Year Later

Xaldin's master plan would finally be carried out.
Step One- He would travel to his future castle, which was currently in possesion of a beast.

Step Two- He would turn the beast into a heartless, thus creating a nobody as well.

Step Three- He would test Sora (as he was to be called) by pitting him against this new beastly duo.

If Sora prevailed, Xaldin would finally have his chance to kill the brat himself.

He trailed the corridors of the castle, watching as his pet dragoons tore up the heartless that infested the place. The sight of the hearts rising up from the shadows was intensified in the candlelight.

He approached the parlor and flung open the doors. And there he saw it. Residing on a table aside from the fireplace... was the Rose.

The Rose was the beast's prized possesion. If anything was to ever happen to it, the beast would lose control, and anger would fill his heart. So, of course, Xaldin took it. But just as he did, the Beast burst into the room growling.

"Xaldin! I knew I'd smelled a rat," he barked. "Sorry, beasty, you're too late," grinned Xaldin, vanishing.

The Beast howled in anger, as Sora and company rushed in to see what was the matter.

End of Chapter 4; Next Chapter: Stoking the Flame

Chapter 5: Stoking the Flame

He waited to make his next move. He wished to see if the Beast had been enveloped by the dark yet, and finished off Sora.

He hovered at the entrance to Beast's room, listening for any faint sounds. He opened the door to find Beast pacing. He was not consumed; his heart must be stronger than Xaldin had previously assumed.

At the sight of his foe, Beast immediately lunged. Xaldin vanished, then reappeared at the pedestal, where the Beast usually kept the Rose.

"Yes, feed your anger, invite the darkness into your heart," he said tauntingly. The beast roared, as Sora and his cohorts ran in.

"I wonder," Xaldin pondered, "what would you miss more: the Rose, or the other thing you hold close to your heart?"

He vanished, leaving behind a mysterious air about the room. It took the Beast a few moments to comprehend what Xaldin had meant. "Belle!" he gasped, rushing out the door.

They raced to her room, finding it empty. The window was open, the curtains fluttering in the breeze. Down below, they saw Xaldin taunting them near the bridge. He had the Rose in one arm and Belle in the other.
