Rep Power: 5 ![]() ![]() | hey everyone!! This is the prequel in my series, so this story happens BEFORE A New Journey. Its basically the first game with some twists of my own in it, and also another storyline is being added to it. So here's the prologue, and I hope you enjoy Where It All Began. Where It All Began Prologue: Two small boys were walking to the docks on the small island. The stars were coming out and the air grew cooler. One of the boys looked up and saw a shooting star in the night sky. “Hey, what’s that?” he asked. The other boy looked up at the star. “A shooting star.” “Oh...” the boy said, losing his train of thought. The other boy looked up from his boat and jumped back onto the deck. He bent down to the boy’s ear. “Make a wish, Sora,” he said. Sora closed his eyes and wished. When he opened his eyes, the shooting star was gone. “Hey, Riku?” “Hmm?” “Will my wish ever come true?” “It might. Just don’t tell anyone what your wish was,” Riku said. “C’mon, we have to be back before curfew!” Sora went into his boat and started to paddle away. Reaching the other island and back into his small bed, he thought of his wish. I wish a new person came to the islands… ~*~ The next day, Riku and Sora headed out to the docks to go onto their favorite hideout when the mayor of Destiny Islands approached them. A little girl was standing behind him timidly. “Sora, Riku. I’d like you to meet someone. She just arrived at the Islands last night. It would be nice if you two showed her around,” the mayor said. “Sure thing,” Riku said, and he started to head out to the boats. Sora stood still and looked at the girl. Her red hair fell to her shoulders, and she was looking at the ground. “Hey,” he said quietly. He walked up closer to her and bent down to see her eyes. “What’s your name?” “Kairi,” she said softly. “Kairi? That’s a real pretty name,” Sora said. Kairi looked up and into Sora’s eyes. “Really?” “Yeah!” Sora smiled. “I’m Sora. And that over there is Riku.” “Sora and Riku?” Sora nodded and smiled. He held out his hand, and Kairi took it. The two of them headed to the island with Riku, where their adventures together would begin. ~*~ “What is this?! What’s going on!?” “We have to go, now!” “Jess!” “NOOOOOO!” Voices rang in her head like a broken record player. Over and over again she heard those two voices. Loud bangs. Metal hitting something hard. And then complete silence. Her unconscious body was lying behind a bunch of used crates in an alleyway. The moon’s light shone on her only a little bit, and the air was still. A family of three were walking past the alleyway, when the little boy saw something that caught his eye. “What’s that?” The mother and father followed with their eyes to where their son was pointing. They thought maybe it was just a lost animal, but they were shocked to find a small little girl, not older than 5, lying unconscious. Around her neck was a small locket that, when unlocked with a key, would reveal whatever it was inside. They took her in and raised her like their own child. The impact caused her to forget everything before she came to Traverse Town. Every night, she would have the same dream repeatedly. She was in another place, far away, yet she felt like it was familiar to her. The walls were torn off by powerful winds, and everything in side was being sucked into a black storm cloud in the night sky. She was flying now, closer and closer to the cloud, and when she turned around a woman was screaming her name, and a pole was flying towards her— She would always wake in a cold sweat, shaking in her bed. Who was that woman screaming her name? Where was she, and what was going on? All of these answers would be answered ten years from then. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() ![]() | thanks everyone for the great feedback!! i've got the first chapter right here! hope you enjoy it! Chapter 1: The Islands Part I Darkness… Doves… Running fast, avoiding dark creatures… A weapon… What is this thing? Running faster…faster…a door. Open it…white light… I see my shadow…what is that? Black shadow, forming into a monster… Fight! It’s eating me… I can’t escape… “Sora!” Sora’s eyes opened slowly, and he looked up to see Kairi standing over him. He sat up startled, and she laughed. “Thought I’d find you snoozing,” she laughed. “Kairi…” Sora sat up and turned around. “You look kinda pale, Sora. You okay?” Kairi asked. “There was this thing! It was so huge! It swallowed me up and—Ow!” Sora yelled. “You awake yet?” Kairi asked. “Yeah!” “I think you’ve been eating too many coconuts, Sora.” “Have not!” “You guys gonna stop fighting and help me with the raft?” a voice called. It was Riku. He was holding a log in his hand, standing impatiently. “We’re coming, we’re coming,” Sora moaned. “Unless you’d rather stay here on the islands forever, then don’t help,” Riku mocked. “Hey! I’m coming whether you like it or not!” Sora yelled. “Then let’s get going already!” Riku yelled back. They were building a raft to see other worlds. Childhood stories are now becoming reality, as Riku said. It was their dream to get off the islands and visit every world out there; to get off these boring islands they’ve loath to call home. Boring, lazy days going by, nothing to really do until school started up again. Sure, when they were kids they thought this place was like heaven. Going on adventures every day was what they loved to do: pirates on the sea, hide-and-seek, climbing the trees, and having fighting competitions with the other kids on the island. But now they were teens, and they were growing up. It was sunset when the three of them went to sit on their favorite tree to watch the sun go down. “You think we’ll ever actually get to see other worlds?” Kairi asked. “Who knows,” Riku said. “We have to try, and if the raft doesn’t do us any good, we’ll find another way.” “And that way would be…?” Sora said. “Hmm…not sure yet. If we have to fly to get to another world, I would,” Riku said. “You sure are determined to get out of this place,” Kairi said. “Do you hate this place so much?” “It’s not that I hate it,” Riku said after a moment. “I’m just bored. There isn’t anything to do anymore.” “You’ve wanted to leave since the day Kairi arrived at the islands,” Sora said. “That’s because that’s when I realized that there are other worlds out there,” Riku explained. “Kairi had to have come from somewhere else.” “The problem is, I dunno where I came from,” Kairi said softly. “I don’t remember anything.” “I promise to take you to your home world, Kairi,” Riku said. “Really?” Kairi smiled and looked out to the ocean. The stars were coming out, and the three of them left the island back to their homes. Sora and Kairi were walking home together in silence. “Sora, can I tell you something? Promise not to tell Riku?” Kairi asked. “Sure thing,” Sora said. “I like it here. I want to leave to see other worlds, especially mine,” Kairi started. “But I don’t want to leave forever.” “I’m sure there has to be a way to get back,” Sora said. “I promise to bring you back.” “Thanks, Sora,” Kairi said, and hugged him goodbye. ~*~ It was later on that night, while the island was sound asleep, when a massive storm began. The wind knocked against Sora’s window, and he woke up suddenly. Dazed, he looked out the window and saw the trees being blown by the winds. He unlatched his window, and barely pushed the glass as it was forcefully blown away from his hands. The winds were strong, and the salty-air blew in his mouth. A bolt of lightning came from the clouds over the sea, and the waves were growing to a massive size. Sora looked up in the sky and saw a massive black and red orb in the sky. It was causing the winds and sucking things into it. “What is that?!” He slammed his bedroom door open and ran down the stairs and out on his front porch. No one else in town seemed to have noticed what was going on. Either that or everyone else took cover, and he was the only one left. Sora ran down to the docks and noticed that both Kairi’s and Riku’s boats were missing. He looked to the other island and saw the two boats were docked over there. What were they doing over there? Sora jumped into his boat and quickly docked off. The waves pushed him towards the island faster, and a few times the boat almost flipped over on him. The things he’ll do to make sure his friends were safe… He jumped onto the other docks and ran around, looking for any signs of Riku or Kairi. His voice was overpowered by the powerful winds, making it hard for him to call out their names. Sora was by the waterfall when he saw a black, shadowy figure with bright yellow eyes appear in front of him. He jumped, and within seconds more of the creatures appeared. Sora ran into the small shack and found one of the wooden swords used in their small fight competitions against the rest of the kids on the islands. Quickly, he grabbed one and ran up the stairs and crossed the bridge. There he saw Riku standing with the winds blowing his hair fiercely. “Riku! What are you doing?! You gotta get back to the other island!” Sora yelled. “The Door has opened… This is it,” Riku said. “What are you talking about?! And where’s Kairi!?” Riku turned around and held out his hand. “You coming or not?” Just then, a pool of darkness appeared below Riku. It ran up his body, and started to swallow him up. Sora grabbed for his hand, but missed, and Riku disappeared. A bright white flash shone, and when he opened his eyes, he was holding a strange weapon in his hands. He’s seen it before…his dream… Keyblade… Sora turned to the whisper, but there wasn’t anyone near him. Suddenly, he remembered Kairi was also somewhere on the island, and he ran back over the bridge, jumped on the roof of the shack, and jumped down to the waterfall. The creatures appeared again, and they chased him until he crawled into a small hole in the wall. He got up and walked further into the small cave. The secret place; the place they visited all the time when they were kids. Carvings drawn by everyone were on the rocks, and a door stood at the very end. For years, all of them tried to open, it, but they never succeeded. Kairi stood facing the door when Sora found her. “Kairi!” She didn’t turn around, and Sora stopped. “Kairi! C’mon, we gotta get outta here!” Kairi slowly turned around, here eyes empty with any feeling, her face pale and almost life-less. She stared at Sora and held out her hand. “So…ra…” she moaned. “What happened to you?” Sora said. Then the door behind her burst open, and more powerful winds blew, picking Kairi off her feet. Sora held out his hands to catch her, but she disappeared. The winds picked him off, and he was sent out of the cave… The winds carried him all the way outside and started to head upwards to the massive orb in the sky. He grabbed onto a piece of wood and looked around. The islands were destroyed; everything was gone. Only a little piece was left. Then a massive shadow appeared; the shadow from his dream…or was it really a dream after all? Everything is coming true, this strange weapon, the monster…what next? He couldn’t hang on much longer…the monster went to attack him, and he had no choice. He let go of the wood he was holding on to, just in time to avoid the attack. He was being lifted towards the black orb, and the last thing he saw on his island was the tree he and his friends always went to every day. Then, a bright flash of light, darkness…a sound as if he was falling, a loud bang…then silence. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() ![]() | ^I know I'm sorry lol its been a while. been pretty busy with work and such... welp here's chapter 2 everyone! ^^ Chapter 2: A New World “It’s this way to Leon’s, Goofy!” a voice called. “Are ya sure, Donald? Gee...Pluto’s lookin’ over there in that alley. I think he’s found somethin’” Goofy argued. Donald, a small duck, was already running up the stairs, ignoring Goofy completely. Goofy sighed and called out to Pluto, the King’s trusted dog, to follow. Pluto was too preoccupied by the scent he caught on to notice Donald and Goofy were ahead of him. On top of some broken crates laid a boy who appeared to be unconscious. Pluto jumped on the boy and licked his face. When the boy didn’t wake, he barked, which made the boy jump up. “My head…” Sora said. He looked around and noticed something completely different. He ran out of the alleyway with Pluto following to the main square. Sora’s mouth dropped. He bent down to the dog. “I don’t think I’m on the Islands anymore…it’s a new world! Oh man! There really are other worlds!” Pluto started barking and jumping up and down, then he ran up the stairs to the other side of town. Sora started to run after him, and as soon as he touched the top of the landing, a hard blow to his head knocked him down to the ground, and out cold. A girl sat up, rubbing her head. She didn’t expect to see a boy running around the corner…and she didn’t expect a boy she’s never seen before. She ran up to where he was laying down, and she bent down to her knees and looked over him. His eyes were starting to open slowly. Sora saw a blurred vision of a girl looking down at him. She had long, brown hair and brown eyes; she wore a white shirt with a pink tank over it, and a matching pink skirt. A necklace dangled from her neck, a half gold, and half black heart. “Are you okay?” she asked. Sora sat up with his hand on his head. “Yeah, I think so.” “I’m really sorry, I didn’t see you coming until we hit,” she apologized. “It’s okay, I didn’t see you either. Uhm, sorry if this sounds a little weird, but where am I?” Sora asked. The girl stood up and held out her hand to help Sora off the ground. “This is Traverse Town; a world that’s stuck in the hours of night. My name is Jess, by the way. What’s yours?” “Sora.” “Sora… well, Sora, where’s your ship?” Jess asked. “My…ship?” Sora asked confused. “Yeah, the ship you took to get here. Aww man, did that bump on the head give you amnesia?” Jess asked. “No, no it didn’t. But I didn’t take a ship to get here.” “Then…how’d you get here?” “I…I don’t know…” Sora said. Jess paused for a second. “I’ve never seen someone who came to Traverse Town without a ship. This is so weird…Hey! I know someone who might help you out. I was on my way to meet up with him in the town square when we kinda collided. Come on,” Jess said. They ran down the stairs into the town square, where they stood alone. Jess looked around, puzzled. “That’s weird; he’s usually the one waiting for me…” Jess said. Sora looked behind himself and saw a dark, black creature appear. The same creatures that attacked my island! “Jess, look out!” She twirled around and saw the creature. In a second, she took out a sword. “Not again!” “What do you mean ‘again’? You’ve seen these things before?” Sora said. “I’ll explain later. You have something to fight with?” she asked. Sora remembered the strange, key-looking weapon he acquired back on the Islands. It appeared in his hands suddenly, and through his confusion, he prepared to attack. The two of them sprinted towards the creatures, and one by one they were eliminated. But they just kept coming and coming. A large fire ball came from behind them and blew the heartless up in the air, and they disappeared. Jess turned around and smiled. “I was looking for you, Leon! What took you so—’’ The man she called Leon drew his Gunblade to her and she stopped talking at once, with a confused look on her face. He moved the Gunblade into fighting position, and targeted Sora. Sora, who was just as confused as Jess, readied himself for what appeared to be a random battle. Leon attacked with swift moves and fire balls, Sora was barely able to keep up. Jess yelled at Leon to stop, but she was ignored. Sora tried dodging the attacks, but he wasn’t fast enough. Leon swung his weapon, and wiped Sora out. ~*~ “Finally! You’re awake!” a familiar voice called. Sora opened his eyes and saw Kairi looking down at him. “Kairi! I’m so happy you’re okay!” “Kairi? What kind of a name is that?” Kairi asked. “Huh?” “I’m Yuffie, the greatest ninja warrior you’ve probably ever set eyes on,” Kairi said. Sora blinked and saw another girl standing where Kairi was. Her short, black hair fell around her face, and she wore a green tank and khaki shorts. He looked around and saw Leon standing in the corner, and Jess at the table, clearly mad at Leon. “You gave him a good hit there, Squall,” Yuffie said. “Leon!” Leon corrected. “Jess, what’s going on?” Sora asked. Jess glared at Leon. “Leon thought it was necessary to knock you out to get out of danger. Although the danger was already gone and there was no need to hurt him, Leon!” “Jess, you two weren’t out of danger. And…sorry bout hurting you, Sora,” Leon said. He looked at the Keyblade, which was standing against the wall next to Sora’s bed. “Beggars can’t be choosers, I guess,” he said. “What do you mean?” Sora asked. “The Keyblade…a very powerful weapon. How if fell into your hands, I’ll never know.” “Start explaining, Leon. I want to know what’s happening to me! What happened to my island? My friends? What are those things that are attacking us? What—’’ “Easy there, little guy. Your head might explode with all those questions…or mine at least. Okay. Those creatures that attacked you are called Heartless. When the darkness of a person’s heart is created, a Heartless is created. They try to take your heart, so when the darkness is released, more Heartless are created,” Leon started. “The Keyblade is their enemy,” Yuffie continued. “They want it destroyed so they have the advantage of living on. As long as your Keyblade is in your hands, the Heartless become weak.” “Keyblade…” Sora said. “Wait a second. I didn’t ask for this! What if I don’t want to do this! I just want to go home.” “The Keyblade chose you to be its wielder. You don’t exactly have the chose, it does,” Leon said. “Where are my friends Riku and Kairi? And what happened to my home?” Leon and Yuffie looked at each other. “I can’t tell him,” Yuffie said. “It seems that as time goes on, things are getting worse. Sora, we think your world was destroyed by these creatures. Your friends…I cannot say I know what happened to them,” Leon said. Sora lowered his head. “Will it ever come back?” “We don’t know the answer to that either. Our world was destroyed when we were younger, and we’ve been here since. It still hasn’t been restored,” Yuffie. Sora looked at Jess, who was just as surprised as he was with the news of other worlds and Heartless. “So, what do we do now?” Sora asked. Leon looked over at Jess. “There’s something else you need to know,” he said to her. “But I’m not the one to ask. You need to see your parents.” Jess opened her mouth to ask why, but Leon took out his weapon, and Sora took his. “We’ll need to fight our way to get there. These damn Heartless are swarming everywhere.” The four of them ran out of the room, with their weapons, on their way to Jess’ home. |
