Rep Power: 1 ![]() | I wanted to make this about the connection between Kairi/Namine and Riku in Chain of Memories. You'll never begin to understand; You'll never be able to comprehend: The loneliness that befalls me. Pushing away this emotion, I put my body into motion. And though I travel on my own, I know I'll never truly be alone. I fight back the darkness that I was once engulfed in; I bring back the memories of my kin. The one who always follows his heart; The one I've been jealous of from the start. I find myself forced to make a choice, And all I do is remember your voice. I do as you advised me to: I take the road of which I never knew. As I take a step closer to my fate, As I cleanse myself of anger and hate, I know that because of you: I can do what I have to. I can be both dark and light; You, being the fire that fuels my fight. I sit here and think: What would happen, had we not shared this link? You've helped me relinquish the monster inside me, You've shown me what I can truly be. So I travel down this road, Embracing the dark, Yet finding my light. And I know that one night, When my existence should come to an end, You'll be the last thing in my sight. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | A very nice poem! It's well written; and, while I think that you could have been more creative with your words, what you have done here is excellent. The only thing that I would work on is your flow. While a good portion of the poem kept a similar flow to it, there were certain lines and stanzas that broke it up. The main individual lines that I noticed were: The first line in stanza three, and the third line in stanza four. I think they should be reworded in order to fit the rhythm a bit better. The stanza that I felt hindered this was the sixth one. The first line follows the flow, but the other three have an entirely different flow patter, which (rhythm wise) is twice as long as the other flow. Just improve on this a bit, and you're poems will be even more outstanding than they already are! |
