The Legend of Zelda
Sage of the Twilight

Chapter 1

Deep within a forest not far from Hyrule a boy with his horse is travelling back to his home after a long battle which seemed to drag on. There battle was long winded and even though only lasting three days, him using the ocarina made it seem like weeks. Slowly moving through the dark woods, Link gathered his thoughts on how happy he will be to see all his friends again, but most of all he could not wait to see Princess Zelda. He remembered her giving him the Ocarina of Time just before he left and let out a slight sigh of how that was what saved him many a time from the terrible curses which were all around Termina. After thinking about how much he could not wait to get home he sped on along with Epona.

“Almost home aye girl” Link said with great relief.

The surroundings began to become familiar and the forest melodies playing in the background became louder and louder. He came to the maze which he found himself to become very fond off as he knew all the ways in and out after travelling here many time to see Sara. He reached the end of the lost woods and found himself standing at the foot of a hill, he looked down and saw many houses with people standing around or working in their gardens.

Link took a massive sigh then raced down the hill with Epona. The Kokiri looked at Link with confused faces. Some of them remembered Link some of them didn’t have a clue who he was but the one person Link was actually glad to see was Mido.

“Oh so your back then”

“Yeah, it feels great to be back with all the wildlife of the forest”

“It seems like we are reliving a moment, the Deku sprout you once new has grown into a great Tree, and
it seems it must have known about you returning and has summoned you again.”

“Again, is it trouble?”

“I don’t know all I know is that he seemed pretty worried when he told me to give the message to you, he even tried contacting you somehow through people in Termina but it was failed.”

“Right well I best get in the meadow then.”

“Yeah, Good luck” Mido Mumbled.

Link and Epona raced to the meadow

“Could it be that Hyrule was in trouble again, what could it be, Gannondorf?” Link thought to himself.

They arrived in the meadow to find the tree which Link left to have grown much bigger within only a week.

“Welcome Link, it seems you are well.”

“Yes very, but that’s not the case what is it that you are so worried about”

“Ahh it seems Mido has told you well that saves any bother, but before I tell you I have someone who has been looking for you, a dear friend”.

From behind the tree a strange light emitted. Links face brightened as he saw his old companion come from behind the Deku tree. Navi appeared.

“Navi” Link Shouted with Joy.

He ran towards her with a joyful look on his face. The old friend who he had spent time searching for in Termina was in Kokiri forest all along.

“Hey Link it’s great to see you so well, after realizing you went travelling in search off me i decided to come back to Kokiri forest to wait for you”.

“Sorry to disturb your moment but there is a pressing matter from which i need to speak to you both about. Hyrule is in Danger”.
