What happened to Sora's Mom?

In the first one you can see Tidus in traverse town, in the second one you can see selphie.

With his mum, we wouldnt reconize her anyway, would we? we might have seen her somewhere.

Well once the Island was destroyed, most everyone probably was sent to Traverse Town like Sora. If you go around town and talk to people, they say they see new faces everday. It's because when your world disappears you end up in a new one. It usually is Traverse Town. You just don't see them in the game because it is unimportant.

so then eventually you would see his mother, but she doesnt show up at all.... you think she would come op at least once... maybe sora doesnt even have a mother maybe he has two fathers and he is an ALIEN from planet BOB!!!

I think it'd make sense if he didn't have parents though. I mean think about it...

Ash from Pokemon - No known father
Tai from Digimon - No known father
Tyson from Beyblades - No parents
Goku from DBZ - No parents
Harry from Harry Potter - No parents
Yugi from Yu-Gi-Oh! - No parents
Naruto and Sasuke from Naruto - No parents
Jak from the Jak series - No parents (Well...Damas but he dies anyway)
Ratchet from the Ratchet and Clank series - No parents

The list goes on...

My point is that a large amount of main characters/heroes all over the anime/cartoon/video game spectrum either have one parent or none at all. This is sometimes the drive that gives them their power (Think Sasuke) but usually it doesn't affect them whatsoever just like it doesn't affect Sora. When you really think about it, a large percentage of heroes and leading characters have no proper family/parents.

To basically conclude my point; I think we shouldn't be asking 'where did Sora's mom go after he disappeared?' it should be: 'Did she ever exist?' or 'Where's his father?' or 'Who called him down to dinner that night?'

So go ahead, be narrow-minded and say it was his mother and what happened to her is simply what happened to everyone else, but it would serve you well to leave your opinions on the matter open.

And as for those who say that it has nothing to do with the game, who knows? I've heard rumours that KHIII will delve more into the past. While this may be more to do with Riku's past (as was also suggested) I wouldn't be counting Sora and Kairi's histories out -on a smaller scale though it may be- either. Maybe come the next game, we'll know exactly who that woman was.
