| Enigmatic Soldier | Actually, he didn't have a proper body, that's why he needed to possess Riku. And hearts are the minds. The body is the vessel, the soul gives life, while the hearts control emotions, memories, instincts, they are the 'brains' in the KH universe. Anyway, Xehanort was the only one apart from Sora who held onto his sense of self even as a Heartless. Even Axel admits the true reason for this is not known. As it stands, it could be Xehanort's exceptionally strong heart that was the factor. |

| ⎳ΣGΣNDΛRΨ | He kicked out Riku's Heart and then used the Body and Soul to have a complete form. Most of the time he was just that formless guy in the brown cloak. |

Here is what I think about it: Hearts possessing a great deal of darkness produce Heartless of powerful physical forms. That same darkness also overwhelms that heart's sense of self, making the Heartless act on instinct rather than intellect. However, Xehanort's Heartless did not have a fitting physical form, nor was his sense of self overwhelmed by darkness. Personally, I think these qualities can be attributed to Xehanort's heart possessing almost no darkness at all. Perhaps Xehanort's heart was practically empty, thus his own darkness wouldn't be capable of materializing a physical or overwhelming his sense of self. | |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() Level: EXP: | Pretty much like everyone else has said, we don't have an exact reason why he stayed the same, but the fact that Sora and him are the only ones to ever retain their shape as a heartless seems interesting and will most likely come up in future games. |

| Heartless | I'd say it would be because Xeahnort was said to have special abilities and he certainly held great darkness inside of him. That along with a strong heart could have contributed to his sense of self having been contained. |
