Default Keyblade Appearance
So everybody knows that different types of keychains change the appearance of the keyblade, right?
And the main look has the Mickey Mouse keychain.
So I was wondering, what would it look like without a keychain?
I dont really understand, so anyhting helpful will be grateful !!!!

It wouldn't be possible, I suppose. Or maybe it would look like a stick, or a metal pole without decorations? :P Actually, I bet it'd be an ice cream bar.

Actually, that's kind of funny. What would it look like when Sora is removing the chain to put in another one?

Im pretty sure it would still just look like the Kingdom key.
That is it's original form.
Probably just doesn't have the effects of a keyblade once it's removed.
Or something like that, idk.

I've always wondered that. Like when changing key chains what happens? But I don't think anything happens really. Would be interesting if it was shown in detail at some point. Like a scene where a character is physically taking off one key chain and putting on another.

I know the keychains change, but I never thought of it as Sora switching them, I thought of it more as the base Mickey Mouse one becoming the new ones.

I assume it does not change by taking a chain off, only by putting a new one on.
If you took off the kingdom key chain it would stay the same, until a new one was attached that altered it.

The best thing to look at, would be Riku's Soul Eater.
Spoilers – KH2…
About the biggest difference between it and the Way to the Dawn it became is the Keychain


It would change shape, and would quite likely no longer be considered a proper Keyblade. However, no one really knows what it'll change to, or if removing the Keychain is even possible. Keychains are made of Sora's Memories taking a somewhat physical shape over the Keyblade. Arguably it just changes going by his will without any true physical action taking place.
