Post Kairi and Ansem
If Ansem was the owner of Hollow Bastion a.k.a. Radiant Garden and Kairi was a princess who lived there than is Kairi Ansems daughter?

No...

Ansem ruled over Radiant Garden, but he was the leader, not the king.

But PoHs are not really all born from Kings, like Alice. Kairi is one of them too.

Kairi was never a princess. People assumed she is just because she was seen in the Hollow Bastion library. Until further evidence, we can not know for sure. Besides, Ansem's Reports hinted that she is not a princess. Xehanort claimed that he randomly picked a girl for his experiment involving the POHs, no mention or hint that she has any importance or title.

And like grimmedslug said, not all POHs have to be princesses. Cinderella, Belle, Alice and Kairi are perfect examples.

I recall reading that Kairi's the daughter of the mayor of some town I guess. Sort of makes a connection. King - Mayor, eh?

Apparently, she is adopted by the mayor of Destiny Island. No confirmation, but it is assumed to be so because she was sent to the mayor's house after she was found on the shores suffering from amnesia. And no, King and Mayor are totally different.

Cinderella married a prince so that makes her a princess, Belle marries Beast who is the prince of the castle which means she is a princess and watch Alice in Wonderland it shows she is a princess just look at the end of the movie. Kairi came from Hollow Bastion and Leon said they had a ruler AKA king named Ansem and he had a daughter.........so get your facts straight next time buddy

But she wasn't born into royalty. And we have no clue if she's married to the prince or not during KH1. :/

a princess OF HEART not a real princess. and anyway, ansem wasnt neccesarily the king, i dont even think there was a king, but ansem was the leader. and not all POHs have to be real princesses, like many others have stated

lets get this straight:

Belle: technically royalty
Aurora: royalty, i believe? (never watched the movie)
Alice: she heads off to a castle at the end of the movie, implying royalty (though in the books it does not mention any royalty)
Jasmine: royalty
Cinderella: depends on the time period. if at the end of BBS she marries the prince is unknown, but due to the 10 year interval it is likely.
Snow White: i don't really think so... not sure
Kairi: adopted by the DI mayor, but no real facts, other than born in the Radiant Garden, i don't think any cold hard facts are given on her "before" life. most likely not a true princess


correct me if there are any errors and please don't be rude about it

It's not a castle, just a really big manor. o.o;; She's from England, mind you. And during the time period she's from, their houses looked really pretty and fancy.

But she's hardly royalty.

It also depends on when she gets captured as well. If, say, she got captured after the ball and her world has been lost to the Heartless, then everyone'd just be frozen in time, I think.

So she could have been captured before she ever became royalty.
