Kairi in Deep Jungle

Ok so this has bothered me since I got the game 7 years ago, i searched and im pretty sure there isnt a thread on this (fml if there is) but in Deep Jungle when Sora first meets Tarzan after beating Sabor why does he look over and see Kairi and not say anything? He clearly sees her but when Tarzan says "Friends Here" Sora says "Really?" like he didn't. Was she just a figment of his imagination like that's what he wished he was seeing or what?

I want to say he didn't want to be rude and cut him off or he wasn't sure of what he was seeing.
Her heart being in his created the illusion but why, can't say. She does it at Traverse Town too.

yeah, it just seems strange he doesnt say nething. when he says "really?" its like he didnt see her there.

Maybe he was a little entranced about the illusion and said "Really?" cause he wasn't paying attention until Tarzan said "Friends, here" or something like that.

i tihnk that sora didnt have the need to run up to her, she was just standing there, so sora could have waited, it wasnt such a long voyage for him to finally reach her at that time. (or so he thought)

I'm pretty sure it was an optical illusion, I'm sure if it really was Kairi she would be jumping up and down and come running to meet Sora to hug him. Sora was probably so stressed that he started seeing things. This is just my view.

That's probably what Sora was thinking too.

Sure Sora saw Kairi, but he probably figured that it was an illusion. He already once before had an illusion of Kairi being at his side when he woke up from fighting Leon. He probably assumed it was the same thing, and thus didn't take that sighting seriously. However, then Tarzen indicates that friends are there, and Sora is surprised and excited by that claim because unlike the Kairi sighting, he actually believe Tarzen's claim.

He reacted as though he hadn't seen Kairi there, maybe because as far as Sora was concerned, he hadn't seen Kairi there, it was just another illusion.

You have to remember ... This is a game made in Japan by Japanese people - people who are typiclly known to be very surreal and fantastic.

Its probably nothing but a mere image to represent what Sora wants more than anything :/

You have to rememer that when Kairi walked behind Tarzan, she disappeared, which is just about the point where Tarzan told Sora that his friends were there. Maybe he didn't have enough time to react?

with what was going on, sora probably knew it was a figment of his imagination. and he just crashed into the treehouse like 10 minutes before, so he was still a little slow.

It wasn't an illusion, it's an allusion. Kairi was with Sora the entire time. Come on gaiz.
