why does the evil people want it and the good people wanna destroy it i understand kh 2 bcoz it will make org 13 whole again but what does it do???

in kh1 KH is the heart of all worlds
see, in one specific world, there is a heart of that world made up of the people who live on it. everyone has a heart, and they are connected. the connection made is called the heart of that world. well the hearts of worlds are connected, too. this is called KH, the heart of all worlds connected in one place. To control Kh is to control the heart of worlds is to control all individual hearts. in short; absolute, incorruptible power. Xehanorts heartless wanted it for the darkness of that heart, but was destroyed by the light, for every heart is of light and darkness. the 13th Order wanted it to become whole, but Xemnas wanted it as a super weapon.

evil wants it for power, but good wants to lock it up to keep it safe, to protect it

thats pretty much the whole story of KH right there

And yeah, Xehanort wanted to have full dark powers, and Xemnas wanted to be whole, and use it for a super weapon. But, why did Kingdom Hearts have all those heartless in it?

It was in his post. But basically the darkness in KH took form and became heartless OR maybe even in the slim time the door was open heartless invaded it because it was the biggest heart.

In KH2, they call it the realm of Darkness, don't they? This is what I don't understand about it.

Organization 13 want its because they need heart to be whole again.
Good ppl such as ATW wants KH gone because in one of his reports he say that nobodies shouldn't come to existicts..

Yeah that too, but ATW also said that nobodies should go back to where they came which was the "The world of nothingless"...

In that case then. ATW couldn't get his revenge if roxas wasn't there.Meaning in AR he says: "Ah riku, at last I can count on him to do the job, then roxas and sora can finish Organization 13".

The good people don't want to destroy it O.o
Bad people want it because it = ultimate darkness/power/what have you.

Okay, Kingdom Hearts is wanted because it's assumed that it is all darkness by Xehanort's Heartless. He would have been destroyed even if Sora hadn't showed up.
If he had KH, he could aquire all the hearts inside and then he would extract the darkness from those hearts and implant it into his body.
The good people didn't destroy it. In KH 1, Sora and Mickey locked it so that no more nitwits like XH would try and take control of it.
AtW isn't really classified as good or evil. He did horrible things, he brought the Heartless to be, but he's very gentle to those he likes, (*coughs* Tifa *coughs*) He tried encoding KH as data so the Organization couldn't use other people's hearts for their selfish needs.
No one tried to destroy KH. That's just what happened after a very long scene ended.

theres one thing i dont understand, if they're called heartless, then why is it when you kill them, a little heart floats up?

The name doesn't mean it has no heart. It's called a heartless because it corrupts the heart with darkness.

Wait, wasn't the Kingdom Hearts Xemnas used artificial?
