Rep Power: 1 ![]() | I'm assuming we're talking about Riku's original pose in KH1, where he holds his sword above his head and his left hand in the Matrix-style invitation gesture. I believe he dropped his left hand lower in KH2. Whatever. If you try this out (or mirror-flipped in case you're left-handed), you'll see that a sword or a stick is much easier to swing from this position. All it requires is pulling it downwards while turning your wrist, and instantly you get a slash with a sword/stick. Sora's pose, on the other hand, requires much more power, as he heaves his whole keyblade above his head and lets it crash down on his target. Therefore, it takes him considerably longer to strike. Plus, his whole body is bent forward... you'd hurt your back in the long run if you try this IRL. Therefore, Riku > Sora when it comes to usefulness of their battle pose. And therefore, Riku's "funny" battle pose > Sora's dorky battle pose. |

| Keyblade Wielder | Its not weird, it's just Riku! Riku is unique, and so his fighting pose! |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | this thread is quite retarded, Riku's blade is weilided like that of a Rapier, beacuse he focuses on swiftness agility and mobility, like a Rapier. Have you ever seen Riku weild a larger keyblade or sword in battle? No beacuse thers no point in doing power swings with a sword that isnt even that large, (i.e. Dark Keyblade, Way to the Dawn.) Its worked quite well for him i can see how someone closed minded, or ignorant of the slightest sword ablity coud find his fighting style "weird" Sora on the other hand uses powerful strikes thus weilds his with two hand and has his sword at an angle that can pick up ore velicity as he swings it. This is a prime example of how peope call what they dont understand weird. Its tearing society a new asshole. |
