Kingdom Hearts Music, what are your faves?

Well as we all know very well teh KH series, like its forerunner from square, has an excellent soundtrack, as does its sequels. This post is about all of the series' soundtracks though, not sure if it should be in the "Just KH1" section but oh well.

My question is, what are your favourite pieces from the KH soundtrack. Give names if you want, like Tension Rising or Destati, or if you don't have the soundtracks and don't know the names of the pieces do your best to describe a memorable place in the game that it plays. For example, while it didn't appear in the game in this particular arrangement, I absolutely L-O-V-E the piano rendition of Hikari (tried to learn it once, a bit out of my league). But I also love Dearly Beloved (prefereably the version from KH1 as opposed to it's reprise) and I also quite like "Riku" which is the theme when Sora realises Riku for who he is beneath the Xehanort body, and "Roxas" Most memorable playing of this being as Roxas watches Sora awaken.

If you like "Roxas"... have you heard the amazingly epic version of it that plays during the fight against him in Final Mix? It's called "The Other Promise", and Yoko Shimomura(who makes all the music) considers it the best piece of music she's ever made.

Personally, I think she's made a couple songs that are much better, though. My absolute favorites are Graceful Assassin and Lord of the Castle, the songs for the first and third form of the final boss in KH Re:CoM. The bass line in Graceful Assassin is amazing, as is the violin part that wasn't in the original version. And Lord of the Castle is simply epic. Too bad so few people outside Japan get the chance to hear it.

Honorary mention to "Beware the Forest Mushrooms" from Super Mario RPG though. Otherwise known as Geno's theme. A lot of people don't know that she made the music for that classic as well.

Hollow Bastion in KH1 was better than the one in KH2, so that's a fav.
Friends in My Heart are pretty good in both versions.
I love A Piece of Peace and Once Upon a Time cause they give you that sorta calm feeling.
That one song that plays during the fight against Darkside in Sora's dream, it's sorta like Destati, but I don't remember the name.
Lazy Afternoon, Sunset Streets, and Sinister Sunset
Riku, Roxas, and that track that plays when Sora is surrounded with Heartless cutscene.

vim and vigor is my favorite out of all the music in the series. i also like arabian dream, fragments of sorrow, dive to the heart-destati-, sinister sundown, roxas, riku, working together, and sanctuary.

Lord of the Castle is one of the most epic final boss songs I've ever heard.
And the 13th Reflection is just awsome.
Yoko Shimomura extremly improved her composing in Final Mix+

There was also this Rock-mix of Traverse Town on youtube, but there was no name to it. It would be really awesome if it was in future games.

i love the 13th anthology. its epic. then i like the real version of destati. i love fate of the unknown. and i love graceful assassin, its a better version of another side.

I love the theme songs and their complementary instrumentals, I also love destiny islands, the marches at the finales of the games, and twilight towns and traverse towns themes. i think my very favorite is "the other promise" version from the Drammatica album that was just released.

i would say the hollow bastion music ive been there so many times i can hum the music in my sleep lol

rock mix version of traverse town ? do you mean a hearts resolve by darangen ? sorry i couldn't find his website but i found something that plays the song...

my favs are 13th struggle, 13th anthology, 13th reflection, fate of the unkown, rage awakend, simple and clean (instrumental), sanctuary,the other promise, one winged angel (kh2), and 13th dilemma

Yes I have heard it, and I will definitely agree it is epic and awesome. I haven't had much of a background look into Yoko so I didn't know that she considered it her best piece, but I will agree that she has made some even more impressive ones. Much the same as Nobuo Uematsu's favourite composition being One Winged Angel even though I consider some of his other pieces to be slightly better still.
