I’d advise not to use ply wood as it is quite prone to wood rot and weakness. And last but not least good luck! |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Well for me making a keyblade out of wood was easy, had to use my neighbors electric saw thing but yeah. Unless youre good at carving, it will be hard to make the keyblade round, or give good detail to it, but still even if your not so good, easy to make a decent keyblade. First you should get some different measuring tools, and a pic of the keyblade, and draw it out on a big piece of paper. after u think you have the right size. just trace it onto the wood. easiest thing for me to do, was to carve out the keyblade without the handle guards and the key part at the top.then carve the handle guards, then the keytip thing xD. then use wood glue and careful glue the pieces where they belong, wood glue works real well, ive had my keyblade for over 2 years and it its only broken once from my friend smacking it against a tree real hard, theres a chip missing at the end. LOL. but yeah Good enough for cosplay. Anyways well wait a day for the glue to dry, and then get some painters tape so u dont mess up while painting, and then let it sit for another day and your done. Heres some pics of my keyblade. It's a little worn from messing with it in the backyard with friends and stuff haha Need to repaint it and stuff, But yeah i made it for decorational purposes. (I hate cosplaying) Anyways! the handle of the keyblade isnt how i wanted it to turn out, its not the the exact shape, and it didnt have the definition i wanted, but still decent. crappy phone pics so sorry xD ![]() ![]() Close Ups http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j4.../keyblade2.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j4.../keyblade3.jpg hope anything i said was helpful, and good luck! post pics when u finish if u can =) |

P.S Don't feel bad if someone says you should not do it. Trust me, people have gone much further with fanhood. It would be kind of cool to have a Keyblade for decoration. ![]() |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Cool! Post pictures when your finished. Sorry, I don't really have any advice for you. But what Owa said sounds pretty much right on. Actually I do have a little advice. haha Take your time, and be sure to sand it before you paint it (esp. if it's on plywood. The edges will get rough and won't hold the paint well if you don't sand it) But yea listen to Owa. His turned out good. |
