Something about heartless i never really understood.

Okay so there are the artificial heartless which bear the cross-heart emblem, Did Xehanort make them in a machine?

And the only real heartless i know of are the shadows, neo-shadows and Darkside. Are there anymore? And does everyone turn into these when they hve their heart stolen? And if so why does Scar turn into a Darker version of himself?

the emblem heartless were created by xehanort manipulating peoples hearts. and what i think about scar is that pete tried to make a heartless out of him

The machine that creates Heartless is right next to the room with Ansem's computer in Hollow Bastion, the one that Leon said went crazy in KHII. As for non-emblem Heartless, there are Dark-balls, the Guardian, and there are those ones with the swords (KH1).

You're wrong because Darkballs, guardians and the one with the swords have the emblem too!!!

First of all there are two types as you know; Pureblood or Emblem, Emblem Heartless were artificially created and are labeled with a heart symbol, as Pureblood Heartless are black shadow creatures with bright yellow eyes. The Heartless obey those with the will to control them so to speak.

Yes,
Amsem the Wise studied the heart and delved into the many secrets of the worlds prior to the events of the first game. He and his apprentice, Xehanort, believed that darkness could spread into and take control of the heart. In order to bolster defenses against the darkness threatening his world, the two researched the heart. He experimented on Xehanort, with a machine in Radiant Garden, this I beleive is the machine.

A better way of trying to find to see if a Heartless is Pureblood or Emblem is to use the in game log book. It'll not only give a description but a 360 degrees look of the Heartless.

Shadow, neo Shadow, Darkball, Invisible, Darkside, Shadow Stalker (beast Castle, the one that resembles a darkball), Dark Thorn, Ansems Guardian, Possesor(beasts castle), and THESE ARE ALL OF THE PUREBLOOD HEARTless..everyother heartless known at thisPoint is An Emblem heartless

Perhaps a person will become the type of Heartless that their heart was taken by? I don't believe that everyone simply becomes a Pureblood Heartless (unless made by the machine).

This is because, that on Sora's 1st visit to Traverse Town in KH1, a man stumbles and falls in 2nd District. His heart then leaves his body and dissappears into darkenss, only to have a Soldier Heartless appear. Now a Soldier is an emblem Heartless, so perhaps there are other ways to become an emblem... hence my idea on becoming the Heartless who stole your heart, perhaps. Just a theory - that's the only proof I can offer right now.

Xehanort used the machine to create emblem heartless yes. Shadows, Neoshadows, Darkside and such are purebloods, who are just darkness, which is why they don't release a heart when they are defeated. A person turns into a emblem heartless when their heart is taken by a emblem heartless. Otherwise, they turn into a pureblood.

Scar's situation is different indeed, though I'm not sure if it is canon. It is similar to what happened to Clayton in KH1 Deep Jungle.

You know, Scar may not be fully Heartless... perhaps his heart's just being controlled by a combined force of his own darkness and Pete - similar to Riku and Ansem in KH1, perhaps.

If you're told for sure that Scar has indeed become a Heartless in the game, then I apologise... it's ages since I've played the games, you know :P

Yes, those wit the emblem were made at the computer lab in Hollow Bastion, he hacked into the system.
Scar is strong I guess, and was able 2 retain his form

Yes, artificaill heartless were created by Xehanort in a machine. I think that Darkballs are also purebread. And if your heart falls to darkness, then you turn into a heartless. And if you're forced into becoming a heartless, like with Scar, a result like that may occur.

Scar is a Heartless, but he was able to retain his form. When he tried to come back though, the darkness overtook him and he became the Groundshaker. Do you think that maybe the Dark THorn/Shadow Stalker is Axel's heartless?
