ok, so if i get this, u can play as Riku, with Soul Eater, with his deck, and u play his side of the story, right? for starters:

1. how do u get to play "his" story?
2. what is his story about?
3. is it different from the main story(Sora)?
4. do u choose whether or not u can play as him?
5. is he funner to play as?
6. where does Riku get Soul Eater from again?
7. why does it look like that?
8. and with Way to Dawn(KH2), whats on the Keychain and why did it effect it so little?

5. Depending on your likings. Riku cannot modify his deck, but his attacks are cooler than Sora's. Especially DUEL (when you and your enemy use a card with the same number, you can DUEL by pressing triangle).

Well I sorta have a theory about #8 with the keychain.

I think that its because he uses darkness but for good purposes. Sort of like twilight.
Also it kind of shows that he's twilight at the end of CoM but I won't spoil anything for you

6. I think it came to him. Like the Kingdom Key just came to Sora. The keyblade choses it's master, right?

1: By finishing Sora's story.
2: Without spoiling too much, it's about Riku going up the twelve basements in Castle Oblivion, while fighting the darkness in his heart and memories.
3: In storyline terms, yes. The gameplay is also a bit different; Riku's decks are pre-set, Dark mode is available, and he can run faster and jump higher than Sora. Also, the only way you can heal in battle is by summoning King Mickey from his friend card. The worlds are a bit different too; instead of going through three cutscenes and a boss battle, you go in, do the boss battle and leave (with a few exeptions). The 100 Acre Woods have been cut out, along with Moogle Shops.
4: No, Reverse/Rebirth is all Riku, with King Mickey as a friend card.
5: In my opinion, yes. I liked the fact that I didn't have to worry about building decks, and I like Riku more. ^^
6: I believe from Maleficent. I don't think it was ever explained in the games.
7: I'm not sure on that one. I guess because it looks cool.
8: If you mean what's on the charm, it's the Heartless symbol. As far as effect, Way to the Dawn is pretty much Soul Eater-turned-Keyblade, so I'm not sure if it's supposed to be much different other than that. Forgive me if I didn't answer that the right way, if you meant something else, let me know.

J_RIKU is right all of those points are right but to unlock riku's story line you must of course finish Sora's story line.

he got the soul eater from maleficent and the way to dawns keychain is the heartless symbol. dont know why the effect is so small.

im putting the spoiler tag for those of you who haven't yet completed riku mode:
[spoiler]yes, you wield soul eater, which was given to him by maleficent, and your deck is fixed so you can't modify it, which is good and bad because whenever you get enemy card they automatically are added to your deck. you have dark form which allows you to perform sleights. you don't get way to dawn until after riku deafeats roxas in kh2 so it's not in RE:COM.[/spoiler]
