Maybe that road to the dawn is a secret way to get from world to world for wanderers somehow. Maybe they ended up in Hollow Bastion because that's where Riku needed to start his journey on dealing with the darkness/Ansem in his heart, where it began for him, or they had to start in Hollow Bastion to get to Twilight Town since they had no other way of transportation (But Riku could teleport...maybe) then they could stay between both The World That Never Was and Hollow Bastion. Well, at least Riku could, I don't see how Mickey could've lost track of him so easliy.

Actually, they ended up in Twilight Town wich is between day and night, hence TWILGHIT Town.

well they say the worlds are split but maybe the road is the last remnant of the whole combined world and you can go through every world through it

For those of you who complain about spoilers...
A) It happened in the past, in a game youve played at least mostly on the GBA
B) ITS NOT LIKE WE'LL EVER GET THE <CENSORED x2> GAME ANYWAY

Uh, I think Riku and Mickey separated when Riku met DiZ.
Riku wanted to help Sora so, they part their ways.
Mickey only wanted to witness Riku's Adventure(As Mickey said in CoM).

Castle Oblivion near HB? It's possible. I wonder what world Castle Oblivion is in.

Wow, they did go to Hallow Bastion in the ending credits. I didn't know that. That makes me wonder what other things happened that Square has hidden from us. I think they went to Hallow Bastion because they were with Ansem the Wise.

Hollow Bastion huh......so what first TWT or HB...hard to say unless maybe ATW needed to get some research from there before moving to another place. Of course to lose sight from the Organization

Hmm... If we remember the world map on KHII, we can see that TT is close to HB. Maybe they arrived at TT on frm there to HB.
