Something Noted on Riku Replica

I learned something in a book i read about whats real and whats not real in connection to Riku Replicas question on his existence.

How you are created does not justify whether you are real or not, it is what you do in life and how you react to it that makes you real.

Because Riku Replica had feelings and a mind of his own whether he was created by science his emotions made him as real as anyone else.

Im not sure what the significance of my post was if you plan to judge or not, but i felt the need to post it as i considered it rather interesting

I think he felt fake because he didn't have his own memories but he had Riku's own and not only Riku's own but also an edited version of it. The Riku Replica could have lived his own life but he'd have to live looking, feeling and remembering things that Riku did and I don't think that's what he wanted or something that you can call your own "existence" as he had everything of Riku's. His character would be a very interesting one to develop on if he is still alive in KH3/358 over 2 Days.

Does it matter if you have someone else's memories? You live your own life anyways.... BUT the problem is, SINCE you have the SAME memories, you're likely to act and live your future SIMILAR to the original. However, since you know this, you're less likely to do so.

Also, you know that you were created for a specific function, by people who don't give a damn about you. That wouldn't be very encouraging would it? I suspect Riku Rep would go through some pretty tough times, but after CoM, I bet what he'll do is hang around protecting Naimine, since that's his last original memory that's his alone. I

nterestingly enough, in the ending movie, Naimine appears, but Riku Rep doesn't. Does that mean he went of to do something else?

It´s not about being fake, but feeling so. As long as the real Riku was there, the Riku Replica felt like his shadow.

Also strange thing was that Riku Replica wasnt afraid of darkness, but the real Riku was O.o

I think Riku Replica also died. But,

I think that he did exist, everyone in KH (including nobodies) do because they all have a will and a personality. Even if RR's was not originally his own, he went through different things in CO then our Riku did, giving rise to eventually different reactions and memories.

But anyway, I think that Rep's major problem was, as previously stated, he felt, looked, and even had the abilities of Riku. Although he cherished his promise to Namine, for it made him different from Riku himself, Axel was able to manipulate him in the long run into eliminating Zexion and facing Riku. (This is implied in the credits to Re:CoM) That said, he does die, which is a shame because he is one of my absolute favorite characters...not just because of Rep/Nam, as some seem to believe.

Fortunately, he lives in the manga, which is kind of nice.

The manga isn't canon to the games, sure, but it doesn't make much a difference. KH hardly has a 'canon' as it is, given that Nomura likes to leave things open. (Meaning, yeah, no canon pairings in KH, nor any explanations for certain bits and pieces.) Whether or not Namine liked Sora doesn't have much meaning to me, for I support that pair mostly due to Repliku's glaring interest, and, based on their personas I can see it working in fic or RP. (In one particular RP I've handled said pair with another player quite well for about a year or so, and I believe that for ships proper characterization can make anything work.)

Wait, Rep dies? Where? The last thing I remember about him was before the final (and kinda lame) boss fight with Marly in his big machine, where he said he'll protect Naimine... and afterwards, he was never mentioned again. O.o

I'm guessing you thought that you could only play as Sora? .............SURPRISE! After beating Sora's story, you get to play Reverse/Rebirth, where you play as Riku!
