Um.......too early to tell. Other than we know who the villain is, not much is gonna be known about 3 until sometime in the future. I just hope the "small" game Nomura talked about, isn't something on par with Days or Coded...

He asked if it hinted. KH3D is the lead in to KH3. The secret message hints at KH3, and also the secret ending is all super hinty and stuff. He wasn't really asking if it was the next game xD

Just so you know every KH game has been a "real" KH game. I'll grant you that 358/2 Days and Re:Coded are probably the least important. But if you don't play Birth By Sleep and KH3D then you're going to be seriously lost when it comes to KH3. Birth By Sleep and KH3D are both main titles in the series and are equal in importance to the story as KH1 and KH2 are. People should not determine that a KH game on a handheld isn't important or a "real" KH game just because it's on a handheld.

Exactly this. People constantly dissing the handheld entries as unimportant don't know what they are talking about. The importance of an entry in the series is not dictated by the platform it comes out on. While Re: Coded does not give that much on important stuff the few things it does give are important, also regarding the hearts-issue. Days has as well bits and pieces that contribute to the overall picture, like i.e. the extent of Xemnas' lies to the rest of the Org etc.
But yes, compared to BBS and DDD they're less important, which doesn't imply unimportant mind you. BBS has been officially painted as more or less KH 0 and DDD is on the same level of importance than CoM was.
Furthermore it's also not a big surprise that KH came out primarily on handhelds since in Japan home consoles are in decline, people there prefer handhelds.

And plus, in MY opinion, BBS and 3D were the best gameplay-wise so far, so you'd be missing out entirely.

I'm gonna be the first to say, if the next really is KH3, then let's hope that they don't waste their time on graphics and make gameplay their top priority. Considering SOME of SE's latest games they've churned out...(FF13)

BBS has been officially painted as more or less KH 0 and DDD is on the same level of importance than CoM was.
Furthermore it's also not a big surprise that KH came out primarily on handhelds since in Japan home consoles are in decline, people there prefer handhelds.

I just wish they would have called BBS "Kingdom Hearts Zero" since "Birth By Sleep" really doesn't apply to the story of the game much, it really more applies to KH3D. Plus if they had just called BBS "Kingdom Hearts Zero" then people would have had a new number title and maybe wouldn't have complained as much about KH3 taking so long.

The only thing about KH3D is that for a main title on the level of Chain of Memories, I wish they had included more Disney Worlds. I would have liked at least 10 Worlds, 2 Original Worlds (Traverse Town and TWTNW) and 8 Disney Worlds.

I can see what you are saying but the title birth by sleep is somewhat appropriate for it though. It's the first game, where it all stared, birth, and in the end which leads to the rest of the KH saga, sleep. Ven falls asleep in the end, so birth(the KH story, saga) and sleep (Ventus) the KH story/game is birthed by Ven falling asleep. Kinda sorta, shitty explanation but maybe you get.

The guys working on KH have never been good with characters and age.

Well the given reason for Ven not aging is that a body doesn't age without a heart.

For Aqua, time flows much more slowly in the RoD than the RoL.

IDK about Terra.
