I agree with pretty near everything they wrote, except:

KH3 is not the next title. GameInformer still has a long wait ahead of it.

Simplifying the story is not an option until the next saga. What we have right now is what we have. And I still hold that the story just isn't that complicated if you've played the games and pay attention. The example of Xehanort and Master Xehanort being two different people who are also the same is misleading; one is Xehanort, the other is Xehanort possessing the body of another character. Nothing complex about it, and it makes even more sense if you've followed the story. That said, the clone characters need to go.

Better teammates than Donald and Goofy? Really? If KH3 does not have us traveling alongside Donald and Goofy I will cry great tears of sorrow. I wouldn't mind a party system to switch out D&G with other options, like Riku and Kairi, but they need to be there nonetheless.

I think the only reason the battle screens seem increasingly cluttered is because everything since KH2FM+ has been on a portable device, which have smaller screens, and each installment contributes more options to the game play. I don't think it's hard to pay attention to what's going on, though; obviously KH3D is still awaiting judgment on that front, but if you look at it, it's: enemy health, ally health, your health + drop gauge (there's no mana bar there, what GI?), command selection. I'm not sure where the difficulty enters.

I definitely agree that we need a new theme song (as long as it's Utada doing it). Multiplayer is kind of a non-selling factor for me; KH is a single-player game, through and through, as far as I'm concerned. And obviously KH3's biggest challenge is going to be the recap: I wonder if they'll even bother?

Thanks for the post rokudamia2, even though the article pretty much just rehashed everything everyone has been saying about KH3 since the portable trilogy started wrapping up.

I somewhat agree with everything except for the addition of Marvel. I've always loved KH, and I've been on a big superhero/comic thing for the past year or so, so I love Marvel…but keep them separate.

I would like a new theme song, it doesnt necessarily have to be utada however it better be as catchy as her. I feel like once pixar gets involved with kh we are gonna have a rush of great worlds such as toy story, bugs life, monsters inc, etc.

Not everyone is down to watching games on YouTube, and it's most likely the people who didn't get the handheld games that fall under this category.

The Memoir's on the other hand are on yet another portable gaming device. Chances are the people who will get KH3D also got the other handheld titles and this defeats the purpose. Not to mention GI is talking about KHIII here.

I pretty much agree to most of what Gameinformer suggested. The exceptions would be replacing Donald & Goofy, I miss those guys, and the inclusion of the Muppets and Marvel heros. I like both of those franchises, but I'm not sure how well they'd fit into KH.

Neither of those are what I was referencing. I was talking about different Disney properties, i.e. bringing in Marvel or the Muppets, VS different Square properties, i.e. bringing in TWEWY and...uhh, Dragon Quest or whatever. Whereas the choice to incorporate TWEWY has been met with mostly acclaim and excitement, the idea of doing the same with Marvel is regularly discouraged. Obviously (nearly) everyone wants more Disney worlds and Final Fantasy; that's a given.

They should wait until the next saga to change major thematic elements of the series. Hikki's voice and songs are associated with KH as it is right now and it would feel too abrupt to switch her out just as the story reaches its climax. The next story presents the opportunity for major revision of the series' structure, so they should save the most effective changes for that eventuality and try to maintain as much consistency as possible within the frame of this journey.

Agree about Pixar worlds. I would much rather see Square go down that route now that they've explored the Classic Disney catalog (they've got the best parts, anyway).

My mistake~ I agree about all of that then. There's just something so off-putting about having Marvel or the Muppets in KH.

There is definitely something not right about Marvel or the Muppets being placed in KH.

Theme song

Yes! Someone has finally noticed the theme song! It's not that I don't like simple & clean or even sanctuary but enough is enough. Good grief I've been dying to hear something new. Even if utada hikaru refuses because of money! They should ask the woman who did crisis core ending theme. Or someone else. Theirs plenty of artist out their!

Gameplay
I disagree. It should stay as it is! I don't need some other games gameplay mixed into kh. That just ruins it. What they've done so far on their own is just fine. I don't mind the changes that square does but anything beyond that wouldnt be the same. I like the health bar, magic bar, and gauge. Why change it? Who cares if someone else doesn't get it? They ought to know from beginners tutorials from the start! So what's so confusing about it? And I don't mind the scrolling down thing at all while listening to low health noises. Makes it more exciting.

I also like switching between main characters. So that should be left as it is too.

Team Mates
I sort of agree on this bit. I wouldn't mind having Riku around more. Even Kairi for a change. (could be a healer and duel out lots of magic). On the other hand I like Donald and Goofy. I still like the options of changing out characters for other ones in different worlds. Even better the gauge for borrowing their powers were great (BBS) Of course their we're times I wanted to knock Donald around for healing himself or Goofy. Yet they've been by Sora's side from the beginning of kh1. They had impact on the story. So they don't have to change it completely.

I also wouldn't mind seeing some dual wielding action with Riku again or a chance to do that with Roxas.

Worlds
I disagree. I don't want Pixar or marvel mixed in entirely. It just doesn't seem right. (I know a ton of you would disagree on Pixar). I can see them as mini worlds like Poohs world. But otherwise I prefer new worlds or Disney related ones. I don't want to play through Alantica or Hyrules world anymore than the rest of you. Still theirs plenty more movies to choose from including new ones they've done. Add in some FF world. That would be awesome!

Lastly
How many recaps do we honestly need? They do it enough as it is. Sure its for the newbies but c'mon if you haven't picked up a pervious title than I'm sorry. Tired of seeing recaps unless it adds to the story more. Otherwise it's taking up space that could be used for something else. Plus each opening so far shows previous stuff from the last games.
