Ooookaaay, bottoms up. It will take a while!

Introduction

The ‘Gifted Heart System’ is a Magic/Ability System that focuses on evolving and linking. It’s a system that does not run on MP, but rather regenerates through a reload-type that gradually regenerates. As always, Magic evolves and so does Abilities. At some point, your fire will evolve into a fira. And your combo plus will evolve.

Linking, however, forge a connection… a bond between your collection of magic and abilities.

The System in battle, bears a resemblance to Birth by Sleep.

Magic, Summons, Action Abilities and Passive Abilities

It’s split into four, which are Magic, Summons, Action and Passive Abilities. Magic is Blue, Summons is Red, Action is Green and Passive is Yellow.

Magic: Fire, Blizzard, Cure
Summons: Bambi, Tinkerbell, Dumbo
Action: Ragnarok, Trinity, Etc
Passive: Haste, Combo Plus

Usually, these can be bought at a shop, synthesised or found.

Evolving

Skills you earn are always improving, always evolving. But there will be a point where it cannot evolve anymore. It is mastered. All have a beginning and All has a end.

Fire is a magic that shoots out fireballs… and always hone in on your enemies. But as it evolve, it will become stronger… and may transform into something different. Also, don’t forget, but Fire can branch off into a different use. Fire can be of the offensive, which is a fireball that hones in on enemies.

Or Fire can be defensive, as it circles around you. You have a choice where your magic can serve you. Would you rather make your fire stronger… or would it serve a different use? How about Combo +? Would you rather have more amounts of Combos? Or would you have less combos for strength?

How can magic evolve? Well, as Sora is the Keyblade Bearer, he can collect Hearts from the Heartless. In essence, the ‘Gifted Heart System’ is connected to ‘Kingdom Hearts’, and thus Hearts is the source of power. So… Fire may need 100 Hearts to evolve… and 500 Hearts to evolve next… and so on. Different Magic, Different Magic Cost.

Linking

Bonds can be linked. That’s the theme of Kingdom Hearts, right?

Bonds are not permanent, however. You can link them and separate them at will. In a Link System, any magic or abilities you equip can be linked. A Link Screen is separate… and only abilities you equip can be linked. So if you don’t have a fire equipped, you cannot link it.

In Linking, a separate screen is shown and only a certain amount of slots are available. It opens up as you progress through the story, so you can link more and more.

Let’s say… you have Fire and Dodge Roll linked. When you dodge, it leaves a trail of fire behind, which the enemy can get damaged by.

Or… if you link Aero and Cure, it becomes a Regen Effect… or White Wind, as you could call it. Linking is vital, as it opens up new experiments to try out. Abilites can forge bonds… and can break bonds. Nothing is permanent, so get experimenting!

Levels of Use

Magic and Action Abilities are split into Level of Use when in battle. Though remember, Attack and Items are free, so keep mashing X to your heart content!

But for Magic and Action, they are split into Level of 5. Level 1 is the lowest, whilst 5 is the highest. In Level 1 Magic and Abilites, using an ability can render the whole 5 slots unavailable in battle for a period of time. You can reduce the period of time using it, by evolving the slots itself, which requires ‘Hearts’.

As higher as the levels, the longer of period of time it will be unavailable if used. At Level 5, if you use any of the magic or abilities, it will be rendered useless at the longest possible period of time. That’s understandable, as the abilities and magic of level 5 are extremely powerful… and should only be used as a last resort.

Your normal Fire, Blizzard and Abilities like Slice and Dice are level 1. Magic like Ultima and Trinity are Level 5.

Conclusion

My system is better than KH’s shitty MP system
