No, I'm afraid not. You need either a japanese PS3, a japanese PS2, or a modded NA/EU PS2. See the import thread for details.

Nope. It won't work on your Italian PS3. Only on a Japanese PS3. PS3 games are region free.

If you want to play Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix+ on your PS3, sell your PS3, buy a Japanese PS3.

You need to buy an imported chip and install it in your Italian PS3.

Eh, no, I've heard nothing of the sort. As far as I know, using Swap Magic will not cause any long-term damage to your PS2, provided that you do everything right.

There are usually two reasons that I find when people who think Swap Magic burns out their PS2 really quick. One, they bought Swap Magic to pirate games using BAD media quality such as Memorex, Fujifilm and such and not the high quality ones. The second thing I can recall was because their PS2's laser was already nearly dead. Think of your PS2's laser like this. It's composed of two lasers. One for reading CDs a.k.a. PSX games or blue-colored PS2 games and another one for DVDs such as movies or the silver-sided ones you normally find most PS2 games in. If your PS2's laser is weak, and you generally play DVD games, you might have trouble boot the DVD SM disc or vice versa. In some cases, cleaning a dusty lens is another way to solve the reading problems although make sure you don't push down so hard when cleaning or else you might mis-align the laser and it'll be a pain to adjust.

Systems will die eventually but people tend to blame Swap Magic sometimes in some cases, which can be quite funny.

Woah, a chip? I wouldn't really suggest one when you can get a cheap PS2 and install a chip in that one at one third of the price of a PS3 instead of running the risk of ruining a PS3 (and is there even a mod-chip released for a PS3?). Besides, PS2 games with your PS2 and PS3 for your PS3 games. Can't be that hard to switch between, or is it?
