a quest to see kh2fm+ outside of japan

[Due to yesterday's delete due to the forum problems, I'm reposting this, and I'm asking once again for this same rule below to go into effect in this thread. This goes for people who don't believe KH2FM+ is coming out, and people like flammers, spammers, etc. The only people that should be posting are people who want the game to come out and actually are willing to get Square's attention. Otherwise, don't post with a stupid comment or facts that it's not coming out. Anything's possible, you know.]

Before I start off with the actual thread, I have one request that, if you read anything, read this: If you think the release of KH2FM+ is impossible, please keep your comments to yourself. Don't come in here and bash constantly, because it's not going to get you anywhere. The only thing it'll get you is absolutely no attention and, possibly, a chance for you to get reported. Please keep your comments to yourself, okay? I don't really care if you don't think it's going to happen: anything's possible and you don't have to prove it wrong. So what if it doesn't happen this year? It can happen next year! Anything's possible, so please keep your comments to yourself. If anyone posts in this thread that isn't going to do anything but bash this campaign, don't think that you won't get a warning for doing so.

What's your purpose?
To bring KH2FM+ to both North America and Europe, of course! Even if comes out next year or even if it's just Re: CoM without the Final Mix game, that's the purpose of this campaign: to get both games, or one game, outside of Japan either this year or next. This campaign isn't going to end until Square Enix has given a complete and utter 'No, it's impossible, it'll never happen'. As of now, they haven't said anything like that. [Don't say that they have VIA customer service emails and chats; that's only a copy-and-paste email that was created last September. Customer service isn't allowed to say a word about releases until Square has actually said that it's coming out, so don't believe that email is true.]

This thread won't necessarily have to stay active, but the campaign itself is going to be ongoing, even if the thread isn't active. I will be watching for spam and arguments in the thread, though, but please keep this thread solely to what you've done to help, and any sort of news that's popped up on any sites.

What's going on right now?
09.16.07 - I reposted the thread because of threads and posts getting deleted that were made after the 10th.
09.15.07 - I remade the thread and am going to watch it whenever it's active. In the news, though, nothing much has been happening, but TGS07 is next week! Though it's unlikely, we might hear some news on an international release, along with info on the release of a new KH-related project!

How can I help?
Simple! Though it will involve some copy and pasting at points, this is what you can do:
-Email: Emailing Square has shown the demand for the game the most, most likely. It's not petitions, letters, or calls, but emails that could be the key to making this whole thing work in the first place. That is why you have to continue on with sending those emails! Just send an email to Square that says how much you want KH2FM+ and send it to their support email. You will get an automatic, copy-and-paste email from them but they did get it. It's also good if you email them every day or every week; I know that might be asking a lot, but if you copy and paste the same email you first sent them, then it'll help a lot more than you think. [Just remember to not spam them!]

If you can email your emails to "support[at]@square-enix-usa.com" [Replace the [at] with a '@']
-Phone Call: Another recommended thing to do is just to call Square Enix and tell them how much you want KH2FM+. Several people have called and talked to people who want to help get the game here, so this is a helpful thing to do! Just call '858-790-7529' between 9AM and 6PM Pacific and talk to a representative!
-Support Chat: Talking to someone in Customer Support is also a good thing to do. Simply go into the chat, ask them about KH2FM+, and tell them that you want the game. You can also ask other questions relating to Kingdom Hearts or other games as well. And, just a note: Do NOT listen to anyone saying the game isn't coming here! Square will keep this secret until this is announced, so just because they say it's not coming here doesn't mean it's actually not! This is the same thing with the email and phone calls; if they say no, there's no way of telling if they're keeping this secret or not.
-Petition: Finally, you can sign the main petition to get KH2FM+. This is only a small thing, though, and you can only really do this once, but it's still helpful! You can sign the petition over here!

Remember that you can do these things as often as you want, except for the petition, so please do these often! Also, for European gamers, I don't have the addresses and phone numbers for EU Square Enix, so if you know them, PLEASE send them! Anything you send will be greatly appreciated! [I do have the email address and phone number, but I'm not sure if they're up-to-date, and I also don't have their snail mail address.]

One final note: feel free to post your replies, chat logs, and phone logs [You'll have to transcribe them or at least describe what they said] if there's anything interesting. Also remember that an employee at Square is helping us out, too! His name is Neil and if you chat with him, get any email back from him, or talk to him on the phone, remember that he's trying to help out!

[Also, keep in mind that Square Enix NA wants this game as well, actually. When the campaign started, they were trying to get the game here as well, so, even though this started a year ago, maybe they will still try to help out.]

What else can I do?
Put links to this on your sig! Spread the word! Have patience as well! And, pleasepleasePLEASE be positive! Negativity isn't going to get FM+ here! Just remember that we're trying to get the game here, even if it's not in the fall. As long as it gets here, we'll be good!

What do you know?
Much of this information is from the Livejournal links below, and much of this was from a conversation with a Square Enix representative:
-At least 150k people want this game. [The numbers probably have gone up from April, which was the last update from this]
-Square Enix isn't allowed to post in forums, communities, etc. but they do look at things sometimes!
-Square-Enix NA actually wants KH2FM+ as well, but they have to through Japan and show how much people in North America and Europe want the game. It's up to SE Japan to decide if we get this game or not, which is why we have to keep on sending emails, letters, and calling SE!
-Square-Enix will NOT say if the game is coming out in a normal support chat, in an email, or on a phone call. They will keep this information TIGHT, which means that even if you really talk to someone often from Square, you're likely to not get any information about the game until a press release comes out.
-Square is also working on other games as well; KH2FM+ is NOT a priority, but it might become one because of fan demand. This game can come out at anytime and that includes Fall of this year. It's likely to come out next year as well, so keep your hopes out! There's no definite yes or no YET.
-When we know if we have a definite yes or no is when there is a press release or Square completely gives us a 'NO', meaning that there's no chance of it coming here. Right now, we still do have a chance, but that chance may lead us to next year sometime. Just be patient!

I've said several things in this thread already that might make you wonder how I know that. If you're on Livejournal, you know why. A campaign has already started back in September for this game, and it's been ongoing since. It has lots of support and I've been watching it this whole time. KEEP YOUR HOPES UP. That is priority! Be positive, keep your hopes up, and be very very patient. And just keep on telling them how much we want this, without spamming them!

Now, I will be watching for spam and flammers, so keep that in mind, and remember: the thread doesn't necessarily need to stay active, but the campaign does. Don't give up until they've given up a complete yes or no, and try to help out as much as you can if you really want this game in English. Now, let's get this game outside of Japan!

(sighs) It seems you just keep ignoring me. As I have previously stated: SE will never announce that. It's either they say they're bringing it, or they say nothing.

Once again: not unlikely, impossible. Do you think the japanese care about what games get released outside Japan? No, they don't. If there's any event we'd be hearing news about KH2FM, it won't be at TGS.

Fall was a rumor started by EGM. Sites and magazines are untrustworthy. 1UP says it'll come on 1/1/2008. You know, New Year, when everythin's closed and everyone's drunk. Genious.

I'm afraid that's not enough to make much of a profit.

All the people there are under the misconception it'd sell well here, when that is debatable. Ignoring these facts forever really won't do you much good.

Your old thread was closed for a reason, you know. With the spam and such. Also, I should point out that you won't have nearly as much support for this campaign as you had for your first one. Most have given up by now. Just so you know.

OH I like her, It may or may not come out but but like Monkeybutt said before games have come out cuz of fan's crys. I know peopele is going to say its never coming out but never is a long time, people proably thought the same way about ff1 and ff2. It may not come out as soon as we want it but at less they know that fans do want it. If we do get it, it well be on PS3 and the Jap will have it on PS2 HAHAHAHAHA.

Yeah, see, here's the thing: not enough fans are screaming for KH2FM, regardless of what you might be thinking.
