[Community Corner 3] "New Project in 07"

If you have been following recent Kingdom Hearts news, you will know that in a recent trailer at Jump Festa, the words "New KH project Starting in 07" flashed before the screen.

Since this announcement, people have already begun speculating. What is this new project? Do you believe its Kingdom Hearts 3? Why or why not? If why, tell when and how you think it will be announced, etc. If not, what do you believe the new project is?

At the moment, it's impossible to tell, it could mean anything, and I mean ANYTHING, I myself believe it it is Kingdom Hearts III.

It's probably KH3. I mean, FFVSXIII is supposed to be done by 07.

I would assume that it's a KH3.

Disney does want another one already, and FM+ seems like it's trying to set up for a KH3, due to how much Nomura is adding.

The knight for example. If there wasn't a sequel, then this character would be unecessary.

Its Kingdom Hearts 3 or a Kingdom Hearts spin-off. I would like the idea of a spin-off but, something just tells me its going to be Kingdom Hearts 3. Disney has been all over Square Enix about a Kingdom Hearts 3 so, it could mean another game following after Kingdom Hearts II.

There that whole thing with the prequel being Kingdom Hearts 3, that is possible also.

Though, what interests me the most is how will the staff of Kingdom Hearts be doing this game while the epic Final Fantasy Versus XIII is on their hands already for the time being. And last time I checked they only had 3% of the game done so, what does this mean?

Will another staff be doing this game like, maybe the FFXII staff or will the Kingdom Hearts team be push around with 2 next-gen games on their hands.

Also, there the whole debate on what next-gen system will it be on. The Nintendo Wii or the Sony PlayStation 3.

The next 3 years will be very interesting.

I would hope it's KHIII. Alot of infomation is coming out regarding the mysterious Amoured Figure and whatever the project is I think their presence is going to be very important.

If it is KHIII, I would prefer a sequel instead of a prequel, though seeing the Organization member talking to the amoured figure near the end of the trailer would suggest a sequel.

If it's not KHIII, I would like to see Re: Kingdom Hearts ^^

It has to be some kind of Kingdom Hearts game. If it wasn't why show it at the end of a Kingdom Hearts Trailer? They said they showed "Project Starting in 07", after the scene of the knight with the smashed helmet, so I would assume that that scene may take place in KHIII, or is an added scene to the secret ending in FM+. Either way I think the scene will take place in KHIII

I think it is a possible sequel. Seeing as Sqaure Enix was approached by Disney and all, I'm sure they are going to work on a sequel soon. I really don't think that it would be a prequel. I think its more or less the same deal with Kingdom Hearts. They throw in stuff and it makes it seem as though we won't be playing as Sora, but I'm sure in the next installment we would be playing as Sora.

With the Kingdom Heart's secret ending at first it made be think that we were going to have to find Sora with bhk and Riku would be on your team.lol

Well first of all, the only games Nomura has on his hands now are:
A Wonderful World
KH2 FM
FF XIII Versus

All those games are supposedly due out in 2007. Nomura said he could begin a new KH project after those games, and well, that would be probably mid-end 2007.

Now, knowing that, there is a small game show (smaller version of E3) this summer. I believe that once they have FFXIIIs done or at least near being finished, they will be able to announce that they have begun a new KH installment.

I believe it will be Kingdom Hearts 3. As far as release? Probably early 2010 or late 2009.
