Beat the game... uhh...

So I beat KH1, the cut scenes rolled, I just about shed a tear at Kairi and Sora being seperated and Mickey appearing, all the credits happened, now I am on the screen that says "The End" and then has a picture of the cover, now I saved at the last Save Point, but no button I press, not start, or X, or anything will make the "The End" screen go away, do I just restart my PS2? I don't wanna lose my data that I beat the game... help please?

I don't think you can get off the ending screen picture, so there's no way that the game will save that you actually finished the game.

Nope not that I know of, once you've beaten the final boss and watched the ending cut scenes the game doesn't start over.

Uh .. I don't think so. I think it's like that so you can beat the final boss over and over again, as an easy way to level up etc.

Yeah, there's no New Game+ in Kingdom Hearts like a lot of Square Enix titles do.

I was wondering the same when I had first beaten it.

Yes, Kingdom Hearts doesn't have any clear game save system, and while it's not great, I don't really find it retarded. What could've you have done anyway? Gone back to visit the worlds? The worlds were disconnected again anyway, remember?

You'll just lose any level uppage you've gained since you entered the door in the station of rest (or whatever it's called).

Its just like... theres no replay value... thats so sucky. Seems like you should be able to start difficult mode with all of your abilities you got, like how it is in a ton of games, thats really saddening, I spent all that time beating the game and being warped into the story, and now all I can do is chill before the final boss fight, as if I've never beaten it.
