Frustrated, stumped

Well I have just completed Deep Jungle and headed back to Traverse Town, I talked to Leon about the Gummi piece etc etc and he gave me the Earthshrine, I then went back to talk to Cid, he explained to me about Navigational Gummis and whatnot, and asked me to deliver his book to Merlin for him, then the Gizmo shop bell wrang, I then went to the bell, rang it three times, and fought and defeated the boss, sealing the keyhole to Traverse Town.

Now, I am supposed to deliver the "Old Book" to Merlin, I am on Gamefaqs and all of the guides there just kind of breeze over this part. It is said I can either simply go to the Third District and go to the Mystikal House or something, and then go to Merlin, or I can take the platform from the top of the stairs where Leon trains.

I went to the Third District and looked around, I see no such place, and I don't think I could of missed it, its rather small. I went to the underground sewer and went to the top of the stairs, there is nothing there, no platform, nothing to examine, nothing at all.

How do I fix this? I need to deliver this damn book. Please help.

There is a door with the fire's symbol at the corner in third district, u use fire to open the door...

You know what's funny. I played the game 3 times and got stuck everytime. Some parts of KH can stump you if you don't have the guide.

Same . Especially in Deep Jungle , i waste many time in finding the right place ..XDD It really pissed me off .

Haha, yeah, Deep Jungle was definately annoying, heres another dumb question that I just can't seem to figure out, things like the Protect Chain and whatnot, I got the one off Destiny Islands and I've gotten other items like it, and when I go to Sell things to a shop all of that shows up.

However, when I open my Stock Item Bag, to equip a Protect Chain or whatever, they are nowhere to be found, I'd kinda like to equip these goodies, any help?

I have no idea why thats happening......you havent sold them by any chance have you?

Nope nope, I haven't sold anything thus far actually, I even just synthesized a new chain of some sort and that isn't showing up either, it shows all of my potions, tents, gummis, but no chains or any of that.

When you go into accesories and equip them do they come up if they dont then maybe your having a problem with your disc.........is it scratched up?

Big surprise here, I'm in need of a bit more help. =P

The guide I'm following says that after you beat Monstro, which I did, then when you go back to the Dalmations house they'll give you some items, including a Torn Page, now, they did give me two items, I think a Mythryl Shard and something else, however no Torn Page, this irked me but I assumed the guide was off.

I then trotted off to the Magician's House and I think thats where I got Dumbo and blah blah blah, so I go into the 100 Acre Woods, do all the stuff with Rabbit and Pooh, complete the Tigger Mini Game, the guide then says to go to the bottom right corner of the map for the Eeyore mini game, well I went there and there is no other mini-game for me to play at the present time.

I think perhaps this is related to the Dalmations not giving me a Torn Page, that would unluck the Eeyore mini-game, though perhaps not. Help please?
