Traverse Town Help

In Traverse Town part 2, I'm supposed to deliver a book to Merlin's house. I can't seem to find it. I know it's on the Third Floor and the door with the fire symbol on it, but whenever I try to open it, it says "Currently Closed Down".

Help please?

You're supposed to shoot Fire at it. That's why there's a Fire symbol on it

I'm having a similar problem, and need desperate help. I have completed the first three worlds and now I'm in traverse town, and I have to give the book to Merlin. The problem is that Sid won't give me the book, because for some reason I only have one gummi piece to give him. He says that they come in pairs and "Come see me when you find the other one.". Where is the other one!?!?! I've looked everywhere, and can't find what I need please help!

Shoot fire at it, it opens, you hop across the little platforms, and Merlin appears inside the little castle thing.

Have you finished Traverse Town for a 2nd time yet? If you haven't, it involves defating Opposite Armor. You have to go ring the bell above The Gizmo Shop 3 times and a Keyhole will appear in the middle of the 2nd District. Run down to the Keyhole, defeat Opposite Armor, and you'll be able to continue with the rest of the game.
