Boss Battle: Riku

I'd like to say a quick thanks firstoff to those who posted in the "Malficient Dragon" thread...the tip on hiding in the thorns totally worked. Lol. Didn't have to lift a keyblade.

Alright so I'm about to enter the Riku battle and I'm quite nervous. I've read up on it but I'd rather you guys tell me what you did because it's way better than any guide.

So any tips would be great!

What i did was use guard then counter and it works great (if you just try to attack he will hurt you badly). Then when he uses dark aura just dodge roll or glide and hope to survive.

Are you a Guard Master? Cause if you are, you will win this battle easily, heck, the tech points you gain here while guarding rocks. When he swings his keyblade at you, block and he will be stun, hit him for a three attack combo and he will regain consciousness. Guard immediately and attack him again, do this till he goes evil and block or hit back his Keyblade throwing attacks. Then when he goes super evil, jump and glide around till he stops, but don't stop gliding till he does a Sephiroth and fall down. Then finish him with Ars Ancem, remember to use Aero.

Okay, fighting Ansem is not that easy, (you know what I mean) anyway, when you get to the green he will Do Dark Aura. Glide to dodge, and I had a 15 round Match with Riku, but It is not easy as they do it!

well i glided most of the time to doge his attacks and struck other times the more you hurt him the harder it is to hit him

my sister is still trying to complete him after about a year or so he's hard but shes not veryt good at games

relentless attack and the deflect his attacks
glide when he uses that dark sonic blade and get hi-potions
lots of hi-potions

but it is my health that went down and then magic wasnt a problem

Equip Glide, Guard, Ars Arcanum, Cure, and a lot of Elixirs.

Block his attacks.

Dodge the dark aura.

Use Ars Arcanum when he's open, BUT use it carefully because you never know when you might need a cure.

When he goes into berserk mode, use glide and go around in circles...he should miss you with his attacks....mostly.

KTD and Namine1025 Elixars give you full HP!

guard, attack, guard, attack, guard, attack, guard, attack, then use a special move and bam you win but trust me he is very easy

I don't know about that exactly. I always mostly just attacked and did nothing else with every boss battle, and I always beat the bosses.

Anyway, guards do work I suppose. But you want to get it over with as quickly as possible, because the further you go into the battle and the longer it takes the more ferocious his attacks are and the faster he is. You really want to strike faster than he can strike you. Try to jump around and do air combos as well. That's how I won it, and I think I did it in five minutes flat.
