help needed >_<

well, actually, its help for my sis. she is trying to beat maleficent in dragon form
(i already beat her a long time ago, but i cant remember how...)

any tricks or tips that might help her out?
i think she is lvl 42, and has the faerie sword, idk i will ask later

Well... i found that using Mushu and hiding behind the vines worked really well... especially if your lw on HP n waiting for Donald to help... There was one vine you can climb up n it's about level with MD's head... but its far enough away that you won't get hit... so yeah, and when she isn't attacking too mch just use Mushu from a far enough distance that you wont get damaged too much but close enough he'll hit... and don't forget to jump when she stomps hard!

Maleficent Dragon is somewhat of a challenge.

Here's a strategy for you:

As soon as the fight starts, as soon as you can move, summon Tinkerbell. You WILL need her. I suggest having Goofy and Beast in your party since Beast can bring some serious brute strength. Give them both some Potions and Hi-Potions. The target is her mouth, but be careful because fire comes out and it is difficlut to hit her from there. Also, her tail is LONG. Even if you hide in the corner, it'll get you. Jump over it when the time is right. She can also swipe you with her claw.

Be cautious with your movements because she causes serious damage and Tink can revive you ONCE if you die. Jump and Glide the shockwaves she creates and when she starts to send fireballs at you, use Aero and you are able to use Guard and send them back at her to do damage so use that to your advantage. Just attack when you have the chance, and remember this isn't Cerberus so you can't hop on her back.

of course fill yourself up with a lot of elixirs and hi-potions. basically anything that will heal your magic/hp up.

climb around on thorns (whatevers around the walls) lock on to the dragon, and shoot some spells at her. when her HP goes down to about half or more, make sure your in good health and jump onto her back and attack.

avoid getting hit by any fire she spits out at you and her feet; they cause a lot of damage. dont worry so much about healing your party members in this one. just keep an eye on your health and magic.

if all else fails, level up one or two more times and make sure you have a strong Keyblade.

alright, well thnx to the advice of all who posted,
my sis is now trying to beat riku #2, and she cant get past there, i think i have the scene memorized

her are her keys
lady luck : only strength of 31, but + 2 mp (with this key i have 9 total mp)
olympia: 32 strength but i only have 7 mp with it
metal chocobo :33 strength, but i have 6mp with it

help?!?!?!?!

For me the Olympia keyblade worked the best with me just remember a couple of things.

- when Riku starts getting a dark purple arua around him aviod him as much as you can, use guard or just start jumping out of the way.
- for me, jumping combos worked a heck of a lot better then grounds combos.
- finally make sure you have your strongest healing potions and ethers or elixers with SORA.

If you remember you fight alone in this fight so equiping Donald or whoever with potions will defiantly not help during this battle.

There's a 'cave' of sorts under some roots. Go under there, and summon Tinkerbell.

Set the controller down, and go make a sandwich or something.

When you come back, strike the final blow.

For Riku though, do not use Arcanum/ Sonic Blade/ Ragnarok/ etc. Save it all for curing.

And run around a lot, that always works.

For dragon its really simple

Jump on her back, use strike raid.

go jump on the thorns and have beast and goofy (preferably) fight her. heal them when needed. when she shoots fireballs just run like crap. occasionally jump down & check her health. if it is low finish her off. if not jump back on the thorns.

Are you thinking of the fight in Chain of Memories? You receive Fireglow, which you take to Fairy Godmother to receive Mushu, AFTER you beat Maleficent Dragon.

What he said. This is definately something I remembered doing or familiar to doing. XD

Oh and don't forget to go on the Dragon Maleficent's on the back,

it helps if you closer to the neck!
