Applications of the PATHS in the field

[Twilight]

Are the paths merely symbolic or do they have a deeper meaning....
here is what I picture in my mind when I look at the field



sora went to castle oblivion for memory, then riku came back and kept walking straight down the path to dawn or twilight or wtvr....so in other words...twilight is where sora and riku already were...which makes no sense...
the other sides of sora and riku's hearts went to this place so logically they couldnt by going back to where they came from....but who knows really..thats wut the forums for!...anyway...wat about the if situation
if they had walk down the dark path...would they go to a specific world or just a version of the same world?
******if the worlds have hearts would they have other sides also?
oh and by the way...im trying to figure out where the heck that huge battle in the trailer is taking place...im thinking it might be outside that castle we saw in CoM where we could never enter in Twilight town....hmmm just food for though
