I beat KH2 on Proud, but the secret ending didn't play! Am i supposed to wait or what?

did you complete Jiminy's jounal? there are a few things you need to accomplish: defeating Sephiroth in Hollow Bastion/Radient Garden, receiving the Ultima Weapon, etc. it should be completed before your first battle with Xemnas.

Did you let the credits play through?

If you finished it in Proud mode, then you don't need to complete the journal. You have to let the credits play through, until you have the scene with Riku, Sora and Kairi. After that, the secret ending should play, then the last thing shown should be your battle record.

proud mode requires that you complete all the worlds in order to see the secret ending.
This includes Atlantica(oh god!)
and 100 Acre Wood.
So you'll need to do those.
in your journal, if for each worlds in the "story" section has a golden mickey(meaning you're done w/that section) then you've probably completed the world.
You'll need all the torn pages for 100 Acre Wood, do all the minigames
then you need to do some singing.Kill ursula with the power of music!(bleh)
Beat the game, let the credits finish

then "Game Over" and your battle stats

I kept hearing that all you had to do was beat it. Xemmas was kinda hard. he only took about a half hour to get all the way through.

Thats the point for it to be hard or else beating the game would be to easy.
