Why Kairi?

I was just thinking: Why was kairi put on they island with sora and riku?
Was it because they were destined to protet her?
And why doesn't she remmeber anything from her world?

She was sent to Destiny Islands to find the person with the potential to be a Keyblade Weilder

Princess' of heart have an inept connection to the Keyblade, so chances are those who have the potential to be a Princess' of Heart would be capable of unintentionally finding the Keyblade Weilder

She arrived on Destiny Island's on the night of the meteor shower. Her world [Hollow Bastion] was attacked by heartless. She was then moved to Destiny Islands. As a Princess of Heart, like all Princess' of Heart, have an ability to find Key wielders, most of the time when they don't know it. That's all i know about it =\

Well thats a side of the story I didn't know..

I knew she came from HB and wound up at Destiny Islands after HB was attacked, I thought it was just chance.

Haha, yea. It was def fate. Just think of how she wound up on Destiny Islands is the same reason Sora wound up in Traverse Town after Destiny Islands was attacked.

well here is my HUGE QUESTION: Did sora once live on Hollow Bastion? because if you remember in Deep Jungle back in KH1 they show slides, and one slide is of Hollow Bastion. And somehow sora recondizes that place, but he doesnt remember how he recondizes it. hmmmm....

I think that since he had kairi's heart with him on his journey. when he saw it he probably only reconized(sp) it because kairi's heart knew what it was.(but that's only my thoughts)

it's most likely that since kari's heart was in sora, it was her heart that had him recognize it.

I'd always thought it was just iconic of their desperate struggle to be together. It also probably has a kot to do with the whole CoM thing.
