A question about Heartless

I was just reading some bios on the KH characters and I saw bios on the Heartless. They all said that Heartless are either beings without hearts or hearts consumed by darkness. I'm pretty sure they are hearts consumed by darkness, but does anybody know for sure?

I don't really get what you mean... Heartless can either be beings without hearts or hearts consumed by darkness. Not every heartless is the same, so some are beings without hearts, like the small shadow ones, and some have hearts consumed by darkness. Riku is an example of the latter. He gave into the darkness in KH1; therefore his heart was consumed by darkness.

They are hearts consumed by darkness, I am sure. There are few things that prove it. First when Sora defeats a Heartless a heart is freed and it comes out of the Heartless, so if the Heartless have no heart from where did that heart came? Second: A Heartless is made when a persons heart is consumed by darkness, this may happen if that person gives himself/herself to the darkness (like the Jafar, Ursula and other Disney bosses did) or if a Heartless attacks the person and it places darkness in that persons heart (like they did in KH1 in Destiny Islands).
