Rep Power: 12 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | At the end of KH1, Kairi drew herself giving Sora a Paopu fruit. And it seemed like a pretty important event in the game, something that would definitely be part of KH2. So why was Sora's discovery of the drawing only included in the ending credits? I thought they would have made a bigger deal of it... What do you think? |

| The combine's reckoning has come. | What it singified was how bonded Sora and Kairi are. There have been many more instances than just that though. So, yes, it was important but it just tied up any doubt the other had about the love they shared. |

| Oreniji is so motherfucking gar | It is just a symbol of the ond between Sora and Kairi just like the Oathkeeper and it is only included in the credits because they probably couldn't put it anywhere else. Well they could have put it in a flashback maybe. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | It was just cute little children's affection thing *sniffles* Nah just kiddin'. It's like a message from the dead, after all, Sora had just gone away, and Kairi had no idea how long she'd have to wait to see him back. Sora made the first paopu drawing when he was in a tender mood, thinking about how much he cared for Kairi -never told her directly-, and later, after aaaaallll the events of KH1, Kairi sees that, and knows that Sora cares for her and that he will definitely do everything to come back... She cares for him, too and draws the second paopu. This is actually a sign of Nomura's style... stories that begin and end in the same way, it MEANS something, it's romantic, it makes you think 'oh yes, back there, in the beginning...' Melancholy, the 'circle', loyalty, it's all there... And the paopu-like symbol is reoccurring: Kairi's lucky charm, remember? In the end, Sora manages to give it back to her. Oathkeeper, in name and in meaning of the Keyblade itself, also represents Kairi's and Sora's bond. It's keychain is a paopu, I think, or it resembles one. The reason why it's in the credits according to me: Not everyone has played KH1, and it just wouldn't fit into the ending, as we also have to deal with Riku here... It's more of a secret, tender moment, like the scene with Cloud and Aerith reuniting, Belle and the Beast going romantic and so on... It's not as obtrusive like that, to say. It's more of a thing to take you by surprise, to have you going 'awwww', like a little touh to say 'everything is okay now, everyone's happy' I liked it being in the credits.
