Questions about Free Ringtones

Hey peeps, sorry if there was already a thread about this, but i dont want to look back through that many pages. with the free kh ringtones, khinsider says it's completely free, you just have to enter your phone number. I went to the site and it says if u read at the bottom it costs 9.99 a month, so i wasnt sure. i entered the number, and i found out u.s. cellular's not supported (grrr) so i called my friend and she entered it and it sent her a text message saying that it costed. so if anyone has any exact information on this subject, i would really appreciate it.

I would help but it doesn't work for Cricket, nothing works for Cricket.

These things are mostly gimmicks so I wouldn't really be surprised if you had to pay for like 5 ringtones and then they give you one free one or something like that.

I am surprise that you don't have a mp3 mobile phone! Buy new mobile with a USD (or what it was now again XD) kable and you just put it in the mobile with pay for it!

i got ripped off, i knew it wasn't free so i signed up 20 bucks for free ringtones for a year i think, it accepted, then i picked some ringtones it sent them but i never got them. im pretty mad about that:(

ok thanks im not going to get them..i mean i couldnt anyway cause u.s. cellular doesnt work with it but o well XD

Most things that say they are *free* are most likely scams.

my friend got me this program thing at best buy (about 20 bucks) and it comes with this usb like thing that plugs into your phone and the computer. you pick your favorite song choose a section (like say the 'my hearts a battleground' part in "passion") and it is saved to your phone as a ringtone!!!

so mainly... unlimited ringtones of your song choice and you only had to pay about 20 bucks just for the program.

This is definitely in the wrong section, and to answer your question: Yes, the ringtone service DOES cost money. Do not subscribe if you don't want to pay the monthly fee. If you want to cancel, visit their FAQ and text "STOP" to the appropriate number.
