Alright, I've been meaning to ask this for a while now. When Leon is looking at the paper in the second ending credits, something comes out. Being kh, I thought it was a heart but that's definitely a crimson butterfly. Any reason?

I thought about this also. But how the only FF game i have is FFX-2, I dunno about other FF games. Who is Rinoa? And if She has something to do with Leon then That means they won't make the game too far into the future, right.

No. Only Flower pedals and feathers were seen while Rinoa was in that field. No butterflies at all.

Squall's lover in FF8.

Rinoa is the other main protagonist, but we meet her on the SeeD's first project, as she is the leader of a rebel group against the Galbadian president, named the Forest Owls. Rinoa is very sensitive, and caring, and has a bit of mysterious undertow around her. Be prepared for many surprises concerning her character, and also her very interesting relationship with Squall.

I have never read such an article. Provide a link so I can believe you.

As for what flies out of the letter. Some think it's the wings on the back of Leon's jacket in KH-KH2. Others think it's the wings on Rinoa's back (but it more closely resembles the one Leon has.

A crimson butterfly really wouldn't make sense for Rinoa, since it has basically no meaning to represent her or FF8 for that matter. It's speculated it's Rinoa but it's really anyones guess.

Who's to say Rinoa isn't in Radiant Garden? She wasn't in it in KH2 true, but that doesn't mean she can't be written in, a behind-the-scenes character explained in KH3 on where she was. In fact that wouldn't surprise me if Nomura did. And characters have come/left to/from Radiant Garden before correct?

It really makes no sense to us at the moment. Who knows, Nomura may end up making butterflies a strong connection with Squall and Rinoa, but unless he does it makes no sense if it's from Rinoa. The only sensible thing, if you do believe it is from Rinoa, is the angel wings.

Rinoa was my favourite game girl until kh2 Kairi. I'm just saying that if Leon recieved a letter from Rinoa and you never see them talk or even see Rinoa at all in KH2 then she's not in Radiant Garden. She must be far away to send the letter. Also KH2 doesn't even hint anything about the butterfly during the game. Strange that it would only happen in the ending credits.
