Door to light?

At the end of kh2, Riku and Sora pass through the door of the light and end up at Destiny Islands. At the beginning of kh1 Riku asks why they were put on the island. Does this mean that the door to the light is Destiny Islands and they were put there to guard it?

No. At the end, Sora asks Riku what the door to light was, and Riku points to Sora's chest and says "This." In other words, the door to light is in a person's heart - to open it, all you have to do is face your darkness or something.

the door to light is the dor between the world of darkness and the world of light. the reason they got sent to DI was probably becuase of the will of their hearts

the door to the light is the ligh that is in everyones hearts, no matter how dep the darkness there is always light
