on ign they did a review of kh2 and said, "you dont have to use magic for boss battles unlike the first one". they lied, when you go to port royal the second time you have to use magic to hert the boss, who else thinks that bull:mad:

So it was just one boss. On most of the bosses, you don't have to use magic.

Then again, it's IGN's review you read. ("Can't spell 'ignorant' without 'IGN'.")

Totally. I've died twice already, and I'm playing it on proud. Magic comes in handy.

Yeah magic is the best thing in the game. Thundaga is the most powerful spell.

i bet the IGN guy was just another guy who chose the sword in the beginning. anyone who chooses the sword can revert to button-mashing! i use magic a lot, so i didn't see IGN's reasoning. they're just lame

that's a good point.. but they were really really stupid to give kh2 a 7.6 for only a few, small reasons. besides, they should have considered what everyone else would think because kh2 is almost guaranteed to be good among the public

i chose the sword and i still use magic alot and i restarted a new game and chose shield and its somewhat a challange....can't hurt the heartless and nobodies that much but you got one hell of a defense

ya the staff kicks some big butt
its just if you like to button smash it gets boring and when you get to like one of the last lvls you are bord and dont want to play anymore

Same here. Magic is alot more useful on Proud Mode, though. I'm currently whoring Firaga. .__.
