What is Riku?

Is Riku Xehanort's Heartless? My friend has been saying that he is since he "fused" with darkness and accepted him into his heart. Can anyone further endulge on this?

Xehanort's Heartless would be the person u frought at the end of kh1 (he took the name of ansem). Riku is Riku like Sora is Sora. he accepted the darkness but to use it's power he had to take the form or Xehanort's heartless. (not 100% sure if he HAD to but he did)

To defeat Roxas, he had to fuse with the darkness, thus becoming Ansem aka Xehanort's Heartless. What he meant is that he took on his physical form, but is still Riku at heart.

Xehanort's heartless became one with Riku in KH1, and it lingered inside him. Xehanort's heartless represents the dark power deep in Riku's heart, so when he decided to rely on darkness again, Xehanort's heartless showed itself. Just in physical form, because Riku already fought him off, that happened in CoM...you'd need to play CoM to understand it.

At the end of KH2, that darkness is destroyed, and Riku loses his dark power. So we can assume Xehanort's heartless is now completely destroyed.

So Ansem doesn't even have a Heartless or a Nobody, since he never became of anything, right?

Xehanort's heartless is completely destroyed, the real Ansem sacrificed himself, and Xemnas was also destroyed, so Ansem and his impersonator have been completely erased from existance, or so we think. Though a line in KH2's secret ending makes me wonder...it mentions Xehanort.

Anyway, Ansem himself was okay the whole time, he never became a heartless. Xemnas is only called Xemnas because Xehanort impersonated Ansem. But then, when you look at Xehanorts name...it makes you wonder if he already had connections to the nobodies, because there's an X in there... And when you take the X from his name, you can rearrange the letters to say "No Heart" and also "Another". Nomura said that the fact you can do that is connected to KH2's secret ending.
